Seasonal flu continues to circulate at higher levels than usual this year, with national data showing cases are three time higher than this time last year.

💉 If you have been invited for a flu vaccination and haven’t had your flu jab yet, please contact the practice to book in today. The flu jab remains the most effective way to protect yourself and help reduce the spread of flu

Can we please remind patients and visitors to the pharmacy to use only marked parking spaces. If there are none available there is ample street parking on both Fusehill and Grey Street. The below are examples of how not to park. Not only does this block in other drivers, but you are preventing ambulances, who we do have to call from time to time, gaining access to our surgery.

We have sent a number of text messages to our patients who are due their routine cervical screening test. We have nurses working this Saturday at Eden Medical Practice. If getting to surgery Monday to Friday is problematic then please call and book one of these slots. Thank you

⚠️🌧️ Stay safe out there - After a night of heavy rain across - there are instances of flooding and surface water on many roads out there.

As advised by Cumbria Police if you are traveling today, please do so with caution and listen to travel updates. Do not drive through flood water if coming across flooding – take an alternative route. Stay tuned to your local channels for updates.

🌧️ If it is not safe for you to travel to health or care appointments today, please contact your provider to let them know so they can advise accordingly — your safety comes first.

🌧️ With the adverse weather conditions, some practices may also experience staff travel difficulties today. You may wish to keep an eye on your local practice’s channels for any updates on their services, related to staff and appointments.

Unfortunately our phone lines are still down, the fault has been reported and engineers are working hard to fix the problem. You are still able to book appointments at either surgery. Thank you

During the month of September 523 patients did not attend their booked appointment. This equates to 87.15 hours of clinician time.

We do not need to highlight what a waste of resource this is.

If you are unable to attend please have the courtesy to let us know so we can offer these valuable appointments to someone else.
