Jigsaw, Cumbria's Children's Hospice, formerly Eden House Children's Hospice, is the county's only children's hospice and offers support to children and young adults with life limiting illnesses. We're hiring!

We're privileged to support patients and families through some of life's most difficult times. We're looking for caring, dedicated individuals to join our team and help play a vital part in making every moment matter for patients and families who need hospice care.

We're recruiting three exciting roles:
💙 Outreach Engagement Officer
💙 Family Support Worker
💙 Social Worker

Every role plays a vital part in delivering compassionate care and support to our community. You’ll be stepping into a career that truly makes a difference to hundreds of families across Cumbria.

Good news! You can support your local hospice twice a week with a cake and a cuppa 💙

We're so pleased to share with you that our pop-up café is going to be open twice a week, giving you even more chances to support your local hospice while enjoying a warm welcome and delicious treats.

The Dalston Tractor Run is back this Sunday (17th May)! 🚜

Last year, over 120 tractors took part and a fantastic £5,000 was raised thanks to the generosity of the community - helping to support hospice care for those who need it most. We can’t wait for another brilliant day this weekend!

All tractors are welcome to join the convoy, so whether you're taking part or coming along to watch, spectators and families are welcome to come along for a fun-filled community day.

🚜 £15 entry per tractor (pay on the day)
🚜 Convoy leaves Kingsway, Dalston at 12pm
🚜 Open to general public at 10am

On the 26th April, 26 members of the Clifton Primary School, Cumbria community - including children, staff, parents and previous families took part in the Cross Bay Walk from Arnside to Grange, raising money in memory of Lawson who was cared for at Jigsaw. 🧩

Thanks to the generosity and kindness of their supporters, they raised a fantastic £2101!

Center Parcs UK are very kindly offering free a pamper session at our next Baby and Toddler Group! This will include head and arm, and scalp and shoulder massages. ✨

Baby and Toddler group at Jigsaw is a special stay-and-play group for babies and young children with life-limiting conditions or complex medical needs—designed to support families, carers, and siblings.

📅 Last Thursday of every month | 10 AM - 12 PM

What a weekend! Thanks to everyone who took part in Bikes Boats Boots 2026 and supported this year’s event.

The sun may not have been bright, but that didn’t slow down the teams who took on the epic challenge that is cycling, hiking and paddling along Ullswater and Helvellyn, all to raise vital funds to support local families who need hospice care.

Their dedication and endurance have meant that this year has once again raised thousands to help the clinical team to continue to deliver specialist care, with compassion, to those who need it most.

A special thanks goes out to for their involvement in the day, and well done to their team being crowned this years overall winner!
