Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria's Children's Hospice provides care for adults in the local area and children across Cumbria with life limiting illnesses. The hospice has a 12 bed adult in-patient unit with eight single en-suite rooms and a four bed room. The home from home environment creates a relaxing atmosphere for patients and families with each room overlooking the recently transforme

d walled garden. The Day Hospice provides care for up to 15 people a day, four days a week. Most days the sweet smell of freshly baked cakes fills the Day Hospice as patients, nurses and volunteers exchange stories about what has happened since they last met. Jigsaw provides care and support for children and young adults from throughout Cumbria. Every day, Jigsaw is filled with laughter and enjoyment as children and young adults take part in a wide range of colourful, creative and sensory activities. The annual cost of providing our services is over Β£3million, with only 27% received from the NHS. The kindness and generosity of the local community raises over Β£2million each year through fundraising events, collection boxes, legacies and much more.

At your local hospice, the Nurses combine expert clinical care with the warmth of home to make sure every patient feels respected, comfortable, and truly heard. Through pain management, we can gift our patients back what matters most: meaningful moments with the people they love.

Can you make this care possible for local families? By sponsoring a Nurse, you ensure that our team of Nurses can continue to provide this vital care to families across North Cumbria and beyond. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference. πŸ’™ www.edenvalleyhospice.org/support-us/sponsor-a-nurse/

πŸ’™ A message from Emma, Hospice Nurse.

"I'm so proud to be one of the team leads for our nurses at Eden Valley Hospice. I see first-hand the difference our nurses make day in and day out and none of the care would be possible without the kindness and generosity of people like you, our community."

In your life, you may be touched by hospice care, whether through your neighbour, your loved one, or even yourself. Through our Sponsor a Nurse appeal, you can help Emma continue to provide this care.

Β£27.13 could help fund one hour of specialist nursing care.

Will you Sponsor a Nurse today? πŸ”—πŸ‘‡οΈ
