Your Voice (young peoples advocacy) - Your Voice provides free independent advocacy to young people aged between 11-18 yrs in the Carlisle and Eden areas. Young people experiencing mental and emotional distress often don’t feel listened to, understood or properly informed. That’s why we want to assist young people to have a voice. We will encourage and support them to speak up. We want children and young people to feel more confident and better equipped to express themselves. You can learn how to access this service on our website - under children and young peoples service's

Training - The wide range of training solutions we offer such as Mental Health First Aid, for adults and young people, help us educate the general public, organisations, schools, businesses and organisations in mental health. In doing so we hope to help end the stigma surrounding mental health and make people more accepting of mental health in the community. By educating more people about mental health without doubt more people will feel comfortable accessing support or guidance they need. Because anyone facing a mental health problem should get the support and respect they deserve. Learn more about the training we offer on our website cemind.org

At the last The Appleby Hub Mindful Walk & Talk group, our lovely Amy stayed at the Hub with a group to chat, who didn't fancy the walk. Our walk leader Caroline took a group out for a beautiful autumninal walk. On the walk Colin who is a volunteer, kindly showed the group very interesting places of interest around Appleby. Caroline took this beautiful picture down by the river 🧡🤎 We all finished off together back at the Hub for a group chat, along with homemade soup, scones and bread. Hope to see everyone at the next one on December 2nd, our lovely Courtney and Caroline will be there, along with the amazing Jane 😊
