as if your family stood beside us,
in every step we go.

We smoothed the creases softly,
we rested you with care,
hoping peace would fill the room
like sunlight in the air.

And when the day had come at last
for loved ones to draw near,
we made a space of comfort,
of memory, not of fear.

For though our time was brief with you,
our promise still held true —
you were treated as someone treasured,
in all we said and do.

So rest now, gently, peacefully,
your journey carried through.
You were always in safe keeping.
You were well looked after — we promise you.
