Not all tarot readers are the same, and that’s ok!
Some people read by the book, strongly sticking to tradition and using the card imagery and meanings, to tell their querant what’s in store for them. This works well, has been tried and tested for hundreds of years.
That’s not how I work. For me, cards are a fluid tool, often for mediumship, to try and translate what’s needing to be said.
They probably are more “notes” or “pointers” for your reading. I blend reading the cards with a mediumship type connection, thus using the cards as a symbolic trigger for me to get the craic for you!
The door is open for a chat… I try not to let the card guidebook get in the way of what Spirit want to pass on.
My guides ask yours what’s going on, and the cards translate that into notes, and I’ve gotta figure out a way to word it into something you can relate to and understand.
Kinda feels like doing a jigsaw together (the cards are the corner pieces.)
So yeah, my readings might not sound like someone else’s, and one reason for this is the way I work, sometimes a card doesn’t mean what it “should”.
Take Six of Swords as an example.
Guidebooks and Google says “moving on, transition, leaving something behind.”
But for me that’s often “the dead mum card.”
When that one turns up, I tend to pause and ask my guides, and sometimes your Mum’s got something to tell you. (Sometimes it IS what the guidebook says, and that’s okay too!)
Different styles of readings don’t mean someone is fake, wrong, or less gifted than another, it’s simply difference of style. Like handwriting. Each has their merits.
With me, you never really know what you’re going to get told, but I promise it’s going to be what you need.
I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences on this!
