Susan again! Two paintings in one day and that's me caught up with the Watercolour advent calendar. Today, Day 13 is the candle crown of Santa Lucia for St. Lucia Day, a Swedish or Norwegian (that's being debated in the art group I'm in!) saint. She wore the crown of candles to light her way in the Roman catacombs, to keep her hands free to carry more food to feed Christians hiding there. #

Continuation of advent doodles from Susan aka DoodlePod! πŸ˜πŸ‘£πŸ’—
Days 9 and 10 of the # watercolour advent calendar
Day 9 - Pfefferneuse and sweeties in a hessian bag (not sure if that's the right spelling for these Dutch biscuits - the artist said Dutch and German biscuits and I feel sure Liz calls them something similar but not the same! Liz's wee Mammy was Dutch, you see - I'll check with Liz and edit or comment when I've spoken to her!) and for day 10, a candle wreath πŸ•―πŸƒπŸ‚πŸ

Susan here! Not feet related, but as a relaxation to the mad run that is always the weeks leading up to Christmas in clinic (and cos I'm a serial doodler πŸ˜πŸ‘£πŸ’—), I'm following the de Winton Paper Company's watercolour advent calendar this year.
I thought I'd share the ones I've done so far and then share the drawings done from now in the run up to the clinic Christmas/New Year holidays.
Each day - 1st to 24th December, a prompt and paint-along video is shared on the de Winton paper co's YouTube channel. It's a free challenge and anyone can join in. You can work in a group (a group I'm in is how I found out about it and a lot of us are doing the challenge together in the group) or you can work solo. You can share the paintings you do or not(the de Winton folk love it if you do). You can work in the small size suggested (an A4 sheet of poster sectioned off) or go bigger or as one of the Facebook art group members is doing make Christmas cards for next year using the designs! All attempts are just fine!
So here's days 1 to 8 together on the sheet, then individually for their wee close ups. 😊 (mostly watercolour, with a few additional materials dotted about here and there)
Hope you enjoy the countdown too Christmas with us on hereπŸŽ„πŸŽ…πŸŽπŸ˜Š
Merry Christmas, Susan (and Liz )

I'm using the photo of these lovely flowers from a patient, fitted into a cancellation today for the photo to update regards t'interweb hoohar we've had this week. πŸ˜–πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ
The new hub arrived, and Wi-Fi and phone lines were restored. Hooray!
We do of course still have a backlog of calls, messages and emails to wade through. While Liz has gotten through a good chunk of them already, there's still a fair bit to go, as we were off work for 2 weeks and then this week has been a communication write-off in the most part.
Thank you all for you patience and understanding and HUGE thanks also to Liz for her hard work dealing on the phone with BT for close on 2 and a half hours on Tuesday 🫨trying to get things sorted and for managing the more limited and slightly guddlier access (cos we aren't used to using that one!) of the clinic diary via the mobile platform.
We'll try to get back to everyone by the end of 29// 25.
If you have messaged us and haven't heard from us by that date please get back in touch, as we're not sure if or what level of contacts made with us have been lost with the Internet failure.

So, update about the clinic wifi failure... after at least 2 and a half hours on the phone, Liz has got BT to sort a mobile hot-spot wifi thing for us and the phone line will connect to her phone and we have limited access to the clinic diary via this link too.
A new hub is on its way to us now.
Liz will be wading through messages, emails etc. etc. plus arranging follow-up appointments for patients from today and over this week until the new hub is in place and working.
The Internet keeling over has and will continue to slow that process.
Also, do bear in mind around 20 messages were left this morning alone, before Liz finished work at 1pm and there's 2 weeks of messages, emails etc to go through as is usual after a holiday, so please can I ask you all to be patient if you've already left a message, but haven't heard back yet.
Please give Liz this week to get back to you, and if you've already left a message, try not to call us again this week. Thank you, and we are sorry for this unexpected inconvenience.

We're on our summer holidays until Tuesday 19th August. We'll get back to all messages left on all formats as soon as we can, in as close to the order that the messages arrived to us as possible.
Please bear with us when we're back, as our Liz will be wading through the messages as I wade through the feetb in clinic!
Thanks for your patience and understanding πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘£πŸ’—πŸ‘£πŸ˜Š
