Liz is off sick today and may not be back before the Easter weekend break.
The BT app is acting up so I can't change the answerphone message to warn anyone calling that I'm working solo. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ˜ž
Please leave a message, but be aware I'm not going to be able to get back to you as fast as Liz can, as I've got full clinics on.
I'll change this message when she's back with us again.
Get will soon, LizπŸ€žπŸ’—πŸ‘£

Meant to post this yesterday as the start of the Chinese New Year - the year of the Fire Horse is here.
Good luck, health and happiness wishes for us all. πŸ‘£πŸ’—πŸ’™πŸ˜Š
(The wee horse here is a small drawing as part off the latest ArtShare Group challenge for February doing a sketch a day in pencil with no rubbing out!
For the first time in this challenge I did cheat and use an eraser on this one as horses are funny shaped things when you're not used to drawing them!🐎πŸ₯΄πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ˜β˜οΈ

Now we are at the tail end of the Christmas Hols - back to work on Monday, I thought I should share the last of the Watercolour Advent calendar. Better late than never! I did modify a couple of the designs. On the 23rd to a more detailed nativity with Mary, Joseph , the 3 kings and shepherds with sheep and for the 24th, I changed the car to the old SAAB 96 I had with the tree on the roof and parcels inside(the dewinton paper co one had a kinda VWBeetle-looking car with a tree hanging out the window and parcels on the roof!) The tree on the 18th is one that flowers at Christmas in Australia seemingly and everyone was given free reign on the Sugar Plum Fairy's outfit design!
It's been good fun, even though I didn't get it finished before Christmas.
Hope you've enjoyed it too.
See you all in clinic 2026! πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘£πŸ’—

Susan again! Two paintings in one day and that's me caught up with the Watercolour advent calendar. Today, Day 13 is the candle crown of Santa Lucia for St. Lucia Day, a Swedish or Norwegian (that's being debated in the art group I'm in!) saint. She wore the crown of candles to light her way in the Roman catacombs, to keep her hands free to carry more food to feed Christians hiding there. #

Continuation of advent doodles from Susan aka DoodlePod! πŸ˜πŸ‘£πŸ’—
Days 9 and 10 of the # watercolour advent calendar
Day 9 - Pfefferneuse and sweeties in a hessian bag (not sure if that's the right spelling for these Dutch biscuits - the artist said Dutch and German biscuits and I feel sure Liz calls them something similar but not the same! Liz's wee Mammy was Dutch, you see - I'll check with Liz and edit or comment when I've spoken to her!) and for day 10, a candle wreath πŸ•―πŸƒπŸ‚πŸ

Susan here! Not feet related, but as a relaxation to the mad run that is always the weeks leading up to Christmas in clinic (and cos I'm a serial doodler πŸ˜πŸ‘£πŸ’—), I'm following the de Winton Paper Company's watercolour advent calendar this year.
I thought I'd share the ones I've done so far and then share the drawings done from now in the run up to the clinic Christmas/New Year holidays.
Each day - 1st to 24th December, a prompt and paint-along video is shared on the de Winton paper co's YouTube channel. It's a free challenge and anyone can join in. You can work in a group (a group I'm in is how I found out about it and a lot of us are doing the challenge together in the group) or you can work solo. You can share the paintings you do or not(the de Winton folk love it if you do). You can work in the small size suggested (an A4 sheet of poster sectioned off) or go bigger or as one of the Facebook art group members is doing make Christmas cards for next year using the designs! All attempts are just fine!
So here's days 1 to 8 together on the sheet, then individually for their wee close ups. 😊 (mostly watercolour, with a few additional materials dotted about here and there)
Hope you enjoy the countdown too Christmas with us on hereπŸŽ„πŸŽ…πŸŽπŸ˜Š
Merry Christmas, Susan (and Liz )
