Walking my talk is something I’m genuinely proud of as a coach. I always tell my clients: dream big, get clear on what you want, and keep your focus on options and solutions.

In January 2025, I started the year in Sydney, finally taking the trip I’d planned for my 50th but had to postpone during Covid. I had no idea then that my youngest daughter would soon be moving to Australia… yet there we were, celebrating together on the other side of the world.

Did I think I’d be back in Sydney again in the same year? Absolutely not. Not enough holiday time, too much work, not enough money and I wanted to take my little grandson, who missed his auntie so much. But his simple words, “We can all visit,” sparked the whole idea.

And in October, we made it happen. Another trip of a lifetime, shaped by teamwork, love, and a belief that anything is possible. Here’s the truth: with the right support and the right people around you, you can make the impossible possible. We all had a role in making that dream real.

Relationships aren’t about being perfect - they’re about being present.

When we’re stressed or disconnected from ourselves, it shows up in how we relate to others.

We react instead of responding.
We assume instead of ask.
We withdraw instead of connect.

Lately I’ve been reflecting on my experience as a coach… and it still feels surreal to say I’ve been working with people for 37 years.

My career began in RBS, where I spent two decades supporting teams, managing performance, and guiding people through constant change. At the time, I didn’t realise it, but that was the foundation of my coaching journey.

From there, I moved into owning two franchise businesses and found myself drawn deeply into psychology. Those ten years shaped so much of the work I do today from CBT and transactional analysis to understanding the patterns behind our behaviours. What started in weight‑loss coaching quickly showed me that many of the challenges people face come from the same underlying patterns, no matter how they show up.

That insight led me into general coaching, where I now support clients through all areas of life. Over the years, I’ve built a wide range of skills and tools, and I’ve learned that coaching is never one‑size‑fits‑all. Every person is unique, and every session is tailored to what they need.

I’m highly trained in CBT but I also draw from many other coaching modalities to find the best fit for each client. My focus is always on helping people move forward in the most effective and supportive way possible.

This journey has shaped who I am as a coach, and I’m proud of the work I do 🙏🏼

✨ Coaching Saturday ✨
It’s been a great coaching Saturday for me, and I was so happy to welcome 3 wonderful clients into my office today.
The best part of the work I do is seeing the difference coaching makes , watching people leave feeling happier, more confident, and clearer than when they arrived.
It always surprises me when clients bring a simple thank you… it really means so much.

More than anything, I feel grateful that I get to do what I love, and honoured to work with people who have the courage to make real changes in their lives.
As I close the office today, my out-of-office is officially on , I’m travelling for the next 2 weeks ✈️

Overthinking is a real strategy and one of the biggest habits that stops people from taking action.

In my work with clients, we explore what overthinking means for them and what it’s trying to do.

It isn’t a fault; it’s your mind attempting to solve something that matters to you.

The challenge is that overthinking often runs in the same pattern, it loops without finding a solution.

Clarity creates direction

When everything feels busy or overwhelming, it’s usually not because you’re doing too much it’s because you’re doing too much without clarity.

Direction doesn’t come from pushing harder.
It comes from slowing down enough to ask the right questions.

Often check-ins focus on what didn’t happen, what we didn’t get done, or where we think we fell short.

Over-stimulation leads to stress, overwhelm, and collapse.

Under-stimulation leads to boredom and disengagement. Both often show up as procrastination.

✨ Helpful tip:

Ask yourself: What one thing can I do differently today and this week to better balance my time? Small shifts create powerful change when they’re intentional and consistent.

As a coach, I support my clients in creating new, sustainable ways of balancing time, so their energy, focus, and productivity feel aligned 🌱
