We are still experiencing staff shortages with a GP off sick for the rest of the week. This will have a knock on effect to the amount of book on the day appointments we have.

Please consider utilising the common ailment scheme at your local pharmacy or call NHS 111 for general advice. If your matter is urgent there is a duty doctor in each day and your matter will be clinically triaged.

April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month.

Bowel cancer is one of the most common cancers in Wales, with more than 2,200 people diagnosed each year.

Recognising the symptoms of bowel cancer early can help save your life.

It’s important you contact your GP if you notice:
🔹Bleeding from your bottom
🔹Blood in your poo
🔹A change in how often you poo, or regularly having diarrhoea or constipation
🔹Unexplained weight loss
🔹Feeling very tired all the time
🔹A pain or lump in your tummy

These symptoms don’t always mean you have bowel cancer, but it’s important not to ignore them. Speaking to your GP as soon as you notice changes can help ensure you get the right support.

Research shows that 9 in 10 people survive bowel cancer if diagnosed at the earliest stage
