It’s been a busy old week at the hub – loads of good folk through the door, plenty of chats, and some exciting new collaborations brewing behind the scenes. Big thanks to everyone who’s donated veg, flowers, and fruit for the community garden – you’re helping it thrive! Special shoutout to Cegin Hedyn CIC for their lovely gift of strawberries and rhubarb – can’t wait to see them flourish.

Our jam session had the place bouncing, and there are some cracking new art and craft ideas floating about too. If any of that sounds like your kind of thing, why not swing by the hub? You’re always welcome.

We’ve only gone and done it…

We’re absolutely over the moon to share that HwbTywiHub has successfully secured funding from the National Lottery Community Fund.

Our project was made possible thanks to players.

This support means the world to us. It means our doors stay open—not just for men, but for women and young people too. It means we can continue to be a place where people come to talk, create, share, learn, and just be—without judgement.

Thanks to this funding, we’ll keep growing. More workshops. More conversations. More cups of tea and moments of magic. From the quiet chats to the belly laughs, from sawdust to storytelling—this is what community looks like.

To every Lottery player who unknowingly helped bring this to life: thank you. You’re part of this story now.

What a cracking start to the week at HwbTywi!
We had 4 tonnes of organic compost delivered and spread across our raised beds – a big job but well worth it! One bed is already planted with a lovely mix of herbs, flowers, and fruit. Fingers crossed they flourish and bring a good crop!

Next week, we’ll be planting vegetables in the other bed – so if you’ve got any spare seeds or young plants to donate, we’d be chuffed to bits to receive them. Of course, we’ve also got plenty ready to plant.

It’s been brilliant seeing the community come together to help bring these beds to life. A proper team effort, and we’re only just getting started!
