Hi all



A nationwide test of the UK’s emergency alert service will take place on Sunday 7th September at 3pm. The alerts are designed to warn if there’s a danger to life nearby, such as flooding or fires but practitioners may want to consider any necessary safety planning required ahead of the alert for victims/survivors who may have a concealed mobile, or a phone hidden from their perpetrator, as the alert is a loud, siren-like sound with a screen message and vibration.

Victims/survivors can opt out from receiving emergency alerts to avoid their device from being detected. Further guidance can be found here - Opting out of emergency alerts - GOV.UK

TEIFI Diverse minds
A new social and support group for neurodivergent adults living within travelling distance of Newcastle Emlyn in West Wales. Whether you have a diagnosis, are on a waiting list for a diagnosis, self identified, or seriously think you may be neurodivergent and would like to learn more, this group could be for you. We have a venue available in Newcastle Emlyn town centre, and are currently meeting a few times each month.

When: Friday 8th August 11:00am to 3:00pm
Where: The Three Compasses, Sycamore Street, Newcastle Emlyn, SA38 9AP
This is not a formal meeting, but a chance to drop in for a chat about the group and what you would like from it. Stay a few minutes, or several hours.
It's in a quiet back room at a pub, which some people may not find ideal, but it's a readily available venue to start the group at, until we know where we are going. Come along and help decide the future of the group.
