As end of life doulas, we recognise that death is a deeply personal experience — shaped by cultural heritage, spiritual beliefs, and community values.

Understanding diverse perspectives helps doulas offer compassionate, culturally sensitive care. We meet people where they are, honouring their beliefs and wishes.

During Dying Matters Awareness Week, we’re reflecting on how “The Culture of Dying Matters” invites us to learn from and uplift each other’s ways of approaching end of life.
