Shared Lives Week (June 24 – 28) celebrates the achievements and commitment of Shared Lives Carers.

During this week Shared Lives in West Wales will be taking the opportunity to celebrate the work of its dedicated carers in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire .

As part of this year’s celebrations there will be three Champion events, where members of the public can find out about work opportunities and discuss their individual circumstances with the experienced Shared Lives team.

West Wales Shared Lives are recruiting carers in your area and will be at Fishguard Town Hall's weekly Thursday Market between 09:00 - 13:00 for the next 5 weeks. If you are a caring person who has talents to share and room in your home to offer short breaks (respite) day support or a permanent home for 18+ adults at risk, come and join us for a cuppa and a chat. Shared Lives In West Wales typically receive a fee of £450 per week tax free for their work.

West Wales Shared Lives scheme provides support to people with an assessed need, who want help to live in their community. Housing and assistance is provided within the homes of professional Shared Lives carers, often developing into broader networks of support.
