Try this when you're feeling overwhelmed

👍 When emotions feel intense, grounding helps bring us back to the present.
👍 The goal isn’t to get rid of emotions—it’s to help ourselves stay within or return to a place where we can cope.
👍 Let's tune into our senses by noticing:

· 5 things you see
· 4 things you feel
· 3 things you hear
· 2 things you smell
· 1 thing you can taste

👍 This works by shifting attention away from overwhelming thoughts and into your present moment

BURNOUT
Burnout isn’t technically a mental health diagnosis, but it refers to a collection of symptoms. If you're experiencing burnout, you may:

Feel completely physically and mentally exhausted
Have little motivation
Feel irritable or anxious
See a dip in your work performance
Experience physical symptoms like headaches or stomach aches, or have trouble sleeping
It's your body's way of asking for a break.

Some gentle tips include:
👍 Sleeping as much as you need
👍 Letting your mind wander/cloudgaze/stare off into space
👍 When you have the energy - do the things you love
👍 When you don't have the energy - be patient with yourself
👍 Ask for help - if you need some time off work to recover, talk to your manager as soon as you can.
👍 Remember, your mental health and wellbeing is the most important thing.

TOP TIP - HABIT STACKING

👍 Doing one or two things to make you feel good every day is much better than doing 10 things in one day and none for the next week.

👍 Making something a habit is the best way to do this. Something that you do very often, usually without even needing to think about it.

❓ How can I make a new habit?
The best way to make a habit ‘stick’ is to do it after a habit you already have, so you could try starting a new healthy habit
⭐ after you’ve brushed your teeth,
⭐ after a meal
⭐ after your morning shower

“Adding a new habit right after one you already have is called habit stacking.”
