We are proud to offer the WID-easy test at West Wales Women’s Wellbeing.
We are always looking for innovative ways to support women’s health and improve patient experience. The WID-easy test is a pioneering, less invasive approach to assessing the risk of womb cancer, helping to reduce the need for uncomfortable invasive procedures for many women.

Women’s healthcare should be compassionate, accessible, and centred around dignity and comfort. We are proud to champion advancements that prioritise earlier reassurance, faster answers, and kinder care.

By embracing new technologies and evidence based innovation, we hope to continue improving the experience of gynaecological care for women.

A welcome step forward for women’s health 💛

We welcome the renaming of PCOS to Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) — a change that better reflects the true complexity of this condition and supports greater awareness, understanding and earlier diagnosis for women worldwide.
For too long, the term “polycystic o***y syndrome” led many to believe the condition was simply about ovarian cysts, when in reality PMOS is a complex hormonal and metabolic condition that can affect every aspect of a woman’s health and wellbeing.

At West Wales Women’s Wellbeing, we have always taken a holistic approach to diagnosing and supporting women with PCOS/PMOS.

Our consultations place:✨ Detailed symptom assessment✨ Thorough medical history✨ Blood tests and hormonal evaluation✨ Ultrasound assessment where appropriate✨ Individualised, compassionate care
at the centre of every PMOS consultation.

We hope this important name change helps more women feel seen, understood, and able to access the support and diagnosis they deserve sooner.

Cam cadarnhaol ymlaen i iechyd menywod 💛
Rydym yn croesawu’r newid enw o PCOS i Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) — newid sy’n adlewyrchu’n well gymhlethdod gwirioneddol y cyflwr hwn ac sy’n helpu i wella ymwybyddiaeth, dealltwriaeth a diagnosis cynnar i fenywod ledled y byd.
Am flynyddoedd, roedd y term “polycystic o***y syndrome” yn arwain llawer i gredu mai cyflwr yn ymwneud â chodennau ar yr ofarïau yn unig oedd hwn. Mewn gwirionedd, mae PMOS yn gyflwr hormonol a metabolaidd cymhleth sy’n gallu effeithio ar sawl agwedd o iechyd a lles menyw.

Yn West Wales Women’s Wellbeing, rydym wastad wedi mabwysiadu dull holistaidd wrth asesu a chefnogi menywod gyda PCOS/PMOS.

Mae ein hymgynghoriadau yn rhoi pwyslais ar:✨ Asesiad manwl o symptomau✨ Hanes meddygol trylwyr✨ Profion gwaed ac asesiad hormonau✨ Sgan uwchsain lle bo’n briodol✨ Gofal unigol a thosturiol
wrth galon pob ymgynghoriad PMOS.

Rydym yn gobeithio y bydd y newid enw pwysig hwn yn helpu mwy o fenywod i deimlo eu bod yn cael eu gweld a’u deall, ac yn gallu cael mynediad at y gefnogaeth a’r diagnosis maent yn eu haeddu yn gynt.
