Iris Care Group Expands Specialist Supported Living Services into Wales ⬇️

We are proud to announce the expansion of our supported living division into Wales following the acquisition of ALP Supported Living Services.

This acquisition introduces four new specialist services to our supported living portfolio, which currently operates across Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. For the first time, Iris Care Group will now be delivering our well-established supported living provision across South Wales - furthering our commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred services for adults with complex needs.

With over 20 years of experience in supported living, ALP Supported Living Services brings a wealth of knowledge and an experienced team of staff to Iris Care Group’s services in Wales.

This integration marks another milestone in our mission to develop new, robust, and specialised care and treatment pathways across the UK.

Andy Jones, Chief Executive Officer of Iris Care Group, commented:

“We are delighted to acquire ALP Care and Support, enabling us to deliver high quality supported living services across South Wales. With such a strong supported living division already established in England, we are excited to expand our knowledge and expertise to deliver the same outstanding services in Wales.”

We wish a warm welcome to all of our new colleagues at Iris Care Group, and we are looking forward to more opportunities to expand our services and grow the UK-wide provision for people with the most complex care and support needs.

The people that we support at Wentwood Court and The Glen have been working on an exciting community growing project in collaboration with the team at Lower House Farm.

The team recently visited the homes to plant some seed starters with the people we support, and after lots of excellent care at the home they are ready to transport to the growing beds at the farm.

We’ll be sharing more from this fantastic project soon – keep an eye out for more!

A long-standing dream of one of the individuals that we support in England has been to see a military band perform live, and this week the team at The Grange supported them to make their dream a reality.

Travelling to London to watch the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, they were able to get front and centre to see the ceremony – it was an incredible experience and a memory to last a lifetime!

This Spring patients at Pinetree Court teamed up with Coed Caerdydd to plant a series of new trees on the hospital grounds ⬇️

Coed Caerdydd is a 10-year community programme aimed at increasing the number of trees in Cardiff and supporting the city’s One Planet climate change strategy.

Patients helped to prepare the grounds before planting the trees and learning about how to protect them and help them flourish.

We’re all looking forward to seeing the trees grow, and a big thanks to the Occupational Therapy team at Pinetree for arranging this fantastic opportunity to support our local community and a greener Cardiff.
