Is he always feeding like this I asked?
No, the answer was.
Of course not.
What lever had to be said, was said
Well, to do it not to do is up to the family!
Maybe see you, maybe not!

I know I will l, as they want the baby to have the best start in life and could see the bigger picture.

Tatiana Mela: Better late then ever. I aware that very often parents are super busy with little babies and need to adopt to massive changes that comes when baby arrives. They often have no time to update me on the progress and can gently remind them; hey how things are? I haven’t heard from you for a little while. Here one of them.
Sweet! Would be very nice to know but the one thing I can say if I don’t hear from the fsmily post procedure they are usually just fine!!!!

Parent: She’s doing so much better since we came to see you, honestly night and day - appreciate what you did so much! So sorry I haven’t been able to keep updating you, struggling with keeping on top of everything at the minute x

M is already showing good results, he’s starting to feed much better 🙏 no signs of infection of bleeding etc 🙏 thank you so much again!

Tatiana Mela: Following initial consultation & assessment we have consulted with multidisciplinary team and frenulotomy was successfully performed.

Heamangioma will be monitored by dermatology and treated if required.

Interestingly the lip blister was not the lip blister but for the 1st time noticed during consultation with me.

What was really helpful that one of the parents was medical and had very good understanding of the situation and potential risks.

Fully informed considered frenulotomy with myself.

We know when babies have an oral restriction they often overcompensate with their lips and gums.

I am positive that feeding will improve overtime, therefore less pressure on the lip.

We will be closely monitoring the progress.

Super happy for this dyad!

Parent: Day 7. D is doing greet. Latch is getting better every day. D is now sleeping for 3 hour periods which is amazing! The biggest improvement is D has come off omeprazole, she has been off it is for 4 days, no signs of reflux, and appears to be a lot more comfortable and I am not loving our breastfeeding journey 💗

Tatiana Mela: Only few days post treatment and these messages arealways cheers me up!

Good morning, A has been fine she was a little unsettled for a short while yesterday evening, we did give small dose of calpol and that seemed to work. Other than that she has been perfectly fine. Feeding well and the whiteness on her tongue has completely gone. She is still clicking a bit on the bottle at the moment, but not as bad and the dribbling seems to have almost stopped too. We will get update pictures to you on dates you requested.

Do not make assumptions about what I do, what I don’t do, why I do things the way I do?

Doing things differently makes you master and polish what you do better over time…

But people can’t tolerate different!

Different is abnormal.

You become abnormal!

You become their abnormal to because it is unfamiliar to them.

What you are doing bacome dangerous in their little rigid World that was never ment to expand and welcome the difference!
They are threatened by the difference.

They are more because they are collective. Because the fear is big and they want to group up with likeminded. It feels safe and familiar.

Tatiana Mela: If you want to think about to go ahead with treatment it is absolutely fine but you have to choose your practitioner wisely. Because you don’t want end up with this result and no evidence to fall on to.
Ask for images before and after and the records of assessment, treatment and follow up plan!!!!
As these are your ONLY evidence what was done to your baby.

This is two different cases.
I don’t know what was there before, as guess what? No documentation, no photos in private practice!

1st image is my case that I haven’t treated yet.
2nd image is a frenulotomy result by another practitioner.

I am posting this just to rise your awareness, see what is treated well and what not and make your own minds
