We’re delighted to be supporting City Hospice’s Forever Flowers campaign.

You can purchase a limited-edition flower, designed by the British Ironwork Centre, to remember cherished family members and loved ones.

All flowers purchased (Ā£18) will be part of a display at Cardiff Castle from July 24th to August 8th. Castle entry and the display will be free and open to the public. Those that have purchased a flower will be able to collect during the final two days of the display and after the event.

After You'd Gone by Derek Thompson

After you’d gone, I looked for you…

In clouds
In the faces of strangers
In the depths of my dreams
In the emptiness of my loneliness
In the rawness of my pain
In the bitterness of loss
In the hope of reunion
In the anticipation of visitation
In the consolation of memories

I passed through time like an unwelcome traveller, and in time I found you…

In children’s laughter
In birdsong
In the music we loved
In the friends we shared
In the turning of the seasons
In the glances between lovers

And in my dreams
And in my loneliness
And in my pain
And in my loss
And in my memories

I found you in the realisation that you were never really gone. Not really. That the essence of you, of what you are to me, is in my bones, my blood, my tears, my being.

But how I long to tell you face to face.
