Catriona Goulding Animal Physiotherapist Catriona Goulding Animal Physio: BSc (Hons) Equine Science, Dip. Equine Massage, Dip Human Massage, Diploma Animal Physiotherapy, BHSAI and Stage 4.

Catriona has a vast experience with horses. Having been brought up on a farm with horses, growing up with Angus Pony Club, gaining her Pony Club 'A' Test. After finishing school, Catriona went on to study for a degree in Equine Science at Hartpury College in Gloucestershire. Whilst doing her studies she also worked locally for a point to point yard and a showing yard and also spent her spare time at the Therapy Centre located at the college. During her placement year she trained for her PTT and Stage 4 at Gleneagles Equestrian Centre, passing both. She also spent 6 months of her placement back down at Hartpury College Therapy Centre where she assisted in the day to day duties of rehabilitation work. On completing her degree with a 2:1, Catriona managed to find work at a riding stables in Windsor to clock up her teaching hours whilst completing her ITEC Diploma in Anatomy, Physiology and Massage in Cirencester. Catriona then moved back to Gloucestershire to work as a freelance groom to a top HOYS producer, a well established competition yard, a hunting yard and a dressage rider. Catriona then moved back up to Scotland where she set up as a freelance instructor whilst undertaking her ITEC Diploma in Equine Massage run by the renowned human and animal physiotherapist Mary Bromiley FCSP, SRP, RPT, (USA) in Somerset. Catriona has also completed a Diploma in Animal Physiotherapy run by The College of Animal Physiotherapy and currently has a client base throughout Scotland working closely with vets and other therapists. Catriona is a member of RAMP, IAAT and ESMA.

Want to learn more about how to rehab your horse after injury or rest? 🐴

Experts in various fields are coming together to deliver talks and demonstrations on how best to successfully rehab your horse, depending on their situation.

Our own Anna Hammond, specialist equine vet and co-owner of Perth Equine Vets will be discussing the rehab process from a vet’s perspective.

Joining Anna is Diana Zajda BHSI, BDCC3 and BD list 3 Dressage judge, discussing and demonstrating things from an instructor's point of view.

We also have 2 equine physiotherapists, Catriona Goulding RAMP registered animal physiotherapist and Kim Gunstone RAMP and ACPAT chartered physiotherapist giving advice and demonstrations from a physio’s angle.

Perthshire, PH2 9NE, 6.30pm start.

It is £10 per person to attend with all proceeds going to World Horse Welfare.

Catriona is a member of the International Association of Animal Therapists and The Equine Sports Massage Association, as well as being a trainer for The College of Animal Physiotherapy. She frequently competes her own horses, Lucky Miller and Rockhopper. In 2009 Lucky Miller was Reserve Champion at Olympia in Veteran Horse Showing fimals, Reserve Champion at the Veteran Horse Dressage finals at Elementary and competed at the Petplan finals at Elementary.
