Tomorrow i will be offering a poem to the Dibble tree a willow tree that is over 220 years old and gives me a lift as i walk towards her in Carnoustie.
A wonderful survivor of storm Gerrit in 2023 which cracked and split the trunk but thanks to the intervention of tree surgeons the tree sprouted new growth.
A tree preservation order by Angus council is in place to ensure the continous protection of this amazing tree.

I will shortly be going live reading a poem in appreciation of the apple tree which provides us with the taste of sweet juicy apples which in this country are so prolific and in mythology offer stories about the spiritual symbolism of the apple tree.

I will be going live tomorrow offering a short poem on Scots pine at 12md which is considered to be one of the hardiest of the evergreen trees.
It contains a wealth of medicinal properties and helps us recover from coughs and colds.

Tomorrow i will be offering a poem on the silver birch going live at 12md.
I photographed this silver birch during a workshop at lendrick lodge Callander.
This tree in mythology is considered to be the goddess of the woodland containing both male and female catkins.
