Our favourite dog Eva came to visit yesterday. Dressed as a reindeer and her Christmas jumper on, she looked absolutely adorable.
She brought many joyful smiles to the faces of our residents and staff alike.
Eva is a gentle wee dog, and we have loved having her come visit us every month along with her owner Wendy.

We are so grateful to Wendy for her time and dedication to our residents at Carrickfergus Manor over the last year🦮🎄💕

We are delighted to inform you that local artist Wendy McClatchey. Has kindly donated a number of her 2026 watercolour calendars to Carrickfergus Manor.
Each painting has been lovingly and uniquely painted by Wendy. Bringing the images of local wildlife to life. Each calendar is printed on top quality paper.

Wendy has been a volunteer in Carrickfergus Manor for several years, bringing her therapy dog Eva in to visit our residents.
We feel privileged that she has offered us these amazing calenders. Which will be on sale from Monday 22nd of December. Selling at £10 each. We foresee these will sell very quickly so snap one up asap. All proceeds will go to residents comfort fund. 🦊🦔🐿

What busy week we've had at the Manor.
Everyone has enjoyed our visits from the local schools and santa.
In-between the visits, we have enjoyed taking part in a variety of party games.
There was lots of fun and laughter with everyone winning a prize.
Thanks to our chefs for supplying delicious party food for all to enjoy. 🥳🎉🍿🧋

We had an amazing visit from Oakfield primary school choir. Who sang wonderful Christmas carols along with our residents. Everyone had a wonderful morning, with friends and family coming to join in.
We are incredibly grateful to our local primary schools, who take time out to come into Carrickfergus Manor, to perform for all of us.

HO HO HO!
What a truly wonderful day we had yesterday, with our very special visitor, Father Christmas, his dog Molly and fabulous helper Emma. Santa took time from his busy schedule on a super important mission to Carrickfergus Manor to deliver the very generous gifts donated by 15 year old Phoebe from Phoebes Christmas Appeal.
We were totally overwhelmed by his ability to make everyone feel like they were the only person alive, special and seen....staff and residents alike!...a couple of helpers were placed on the naughty list...can you spot them?
Lots of beautiful happy memories were evoked by his visit, and lots of childhood stories shared. I wish we could have bottled the atmosphere of this special time.
He was a massive hit....our hearts are fat and full!

What a wonderful afternoon we all had on Friday, when Steve Farlow the music man came to entertain us all. With lots of joyful singing and dancing, from residents, staff and family. We rocked the afternoon away, lifting our spirits and bringing the Christmas atmosphere to Carrickfergus Manor 🎵🎅🎄🌟

Thankyou so much to Carrickfergus Elim church, for coming on Friday and conducting a church service for our residents. We sang joyful hymns, and enjoyed Johnny's talk about Christmas.
