I'm back at a gym. A new gym with opening hours that work for me. This morning I had the place to myself, connected to the Bluetooth and put in a hard back and arms day. First proper gym visit in 14months. I'm a couple of week in to walking more and eating better. This is proper attempt number 3 and hopefully this time I'll sick it longer than 5 months.

Last year I half heartily trained for a half-ironman and pulled up with relentless cramps half way through. Since then I've had a few tough months mentally and have had no motivation for exercise or controlling my diet. I've put on lots of weight and have very little fitness. The past month I've been shifting my mindset and today started a refocus. Gym done, calories within target, steps done, and time spent with the Lord. One day at time.

This race in the past was my only DNF but I didn't have EJ and the kids to cheer that day

5 mile road race today. The weight loss is yet to kick in but hoping today the training gets me round the 3 hilly laps.
