Belfast City Marathon is 5 weeks out!!

If you are planning on getting in for some pre race treatment please book now to avoid disappointment

Getting a sports massage before a marathon can offer several benefits that help prepare your body for the physical demands of the race. Here are some key reasons:

1. **Increased Flexibility**: A sports massage can help loosen up tight muscles and improve your flexibility. This can enhance your range of motion and reduce the risk of injuries during the race.

2. **Improved Circulation**: The massage stimulates blood flow to the muscles, which helps ensure that your muscles are well-nourished and ready for the long run. Better circulation can also help with muscle recovery after the race.

3. **Reduced Muscle Tension**: A sports massage helps to release muscle knots and tension, making you feel more relaxed and ready to run without unnecessary discomfort.

4. **Mental Relaxation**: A pre-marathon massage can have a calming effect, reducing stress and anxiety. This mental relaxation can improve focus and confidence going into the race.

5. **Injury Prevention**: By addressing tightness and imbalances in the muscles, sports massage can help prevent overuse injuries, which are common in endurance events like marathons.

It's typically recommended to schedule the massage a couple of days before the marathon, not too close to the race, to give your muscles time to recover and avoid feeling too sore.

Thanks in advance
