Spin gets a bit of a bad rep at times and many people seem to have had bad experiences when they’ve tried spin in other studios and that really frustrates us as we believe that Spin is a super safe and effective cardio workout for all fitness levels (when it’s well coached)
When you come to our classes our coach will take the time to make sure you set your bike up safely and properly; this is hugely important in ensuring that you are as comfortable as possible during the class and also ensures that you get the most from your workout. Our sessions are created with an authentic cycle feel at the forefront, so if you can’t do it on an actual bike you won’t do it on our spin bikes. So no press ups, no jumps, no weights and definitely no ridiculously fast pedalling with zero resistance.
Your resistance creates your workout and at all times you’re incharge of your resistance, our coaches will never touch your resistance, but we will support and encourage you to work at the pace that’s right for you.
Like anything it takes a few goes to get the hang of spin , so if you need longer recoveries, you take them, if you need to sit instead standing then absolutely you sit. It’s all about you getting what you need from the sessions and we are here to support you with that, our members and coaches are super welcoming and supportive, this is a judgement free space.
