Hubs Noel McKee is doing the London Marathon in April for Bowel Cancer UK in memory of my best bud Linda who died in 2019 from this awful disease.

We’re holding a coffee morning in Whitehead on Saturday 2nd March at the Methodist church to raise funds for this and a MacMillan walk in June. Come if you can and maybe donate if you can’t come.

Thank you Patricia Hegarty at Revolution gym Mallusk for organising a great morning based on mental health and wellbeing. Very happy to support these events to get the app onto phones. Obviously this is a well run gym with a great ethos .

Afternoon all. We at East Antrim Counselling always have our client's safety at heart. We are aware some people are worried about coming to see a counsellor face to face at the moment. All our counsellors are following well laid out guidelines. Our offices are private and only used by us. We have a private toilet and hand washing facilities. Counsellors wash their hands after every appointment. All counsellors are fit and well and are under instruction to cancel all appointments if they feel in any way unwell.

These are stressful and worrying times for some . Please look after yourself and your loved ones. We offer telephone counselling for those unable to leave their house due to mobility issues or poor health. Thank you to everyone who has downloaded the app so far. Thanks to MEA council for their promotion of the app today. Can we respectfully point out that contrary to BBC Newsline reports, the app was not a creation of the council as their report suggests. This wonderful app was conceived and created by Noel McKee at East Antrim Counselling and Jack Creighton from Ownies Bar. All done on a voluntary basis, no hidden agendas. Just a wonderfully simple idea and an easy to use platform for accessing help. Thanks lads for the idea and for your ongoing support.

At last the here2help app is getting the publicity it deserves. Funded entirely by voluntary donations and created by East Antrim Counselling and Ownies Bar. Mid and East Antrim council have championed the app and it now has the support of the PSNI K district. lets hope this is the start of something big.
