As an aesthetic nurse, one of the questions I get asked most often is… “What treatments have you had?” 💉
My patients will know I’m always extremely open and honest about this - transparency is something I really value. I often use my own face as an example during consultations if a patient is interested in a particular treatment I’ve had themselves.
Quite often, they’ll say, “Oh wow, I would never have known that!” and ask to see a before photo - so here it is!
⬅️ Left: me before I ever had any tweakments
➡️ Right: me now, after several years of subtle, carefully considered treatments - all aimed at maintaining a natural, fresh, and balanced look
Over the years, I’ve had:
• Regular microneedling (if you don’t know, GET TO KNOW!)
• 3 areas of upper face toxin 2–3 times per year
• Masseter toxin
• DAO (downturned mouth) toxin
• Lip filler
• Chin filler
• Cheek filler
• Non-surgical rhinoplasty
• Chin shadow filler
This post isn’t to suggest that anyone NEEDS to have these treatments - far from it. It’s simply to show that aesthetic treatments don’t have to mean looking “fake” or “overdone”. When done subtly, strategically, and over time, they can enhance your natural features and help you feel a little more you - just a more refreshed, confident version.
It also highlights that there’s never a “one-size-fits-all” approach in aesthetics. The best results often come from a combination of treatments, tailored uniquely to each individual’s anatomy, goals, and preferences.
At the end of the day, you are completely entitled to choose how you want to look and feel. There should never be pressure, persuasion, or comparison - only support, honesty, and informed choice❤️
