🌸 A Special Outing for a Special Lady! 🌸

At Lavender Oaks Care Home, we love making our residents feel special.
We took a lovely trip to Marks & Spencer, where Joan enjoyed a little retail therapy and picked out some of her favourite treats. It’s these simple pleasures that bring the biggest smiles 😊

🎶 A Soulful Sunday at Lavender Oaks Care Home 🎶

Last Sunday, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Sutton Trinity Church Choir to our lounge, where they filled the air with beautiful harmonies and heartfelt melodies. 🌸✨
Residents and guests enjoyed an inspiring afternoon featuring a wonderful mix of traditional hymns, classical pieces, and contemporary favourites. The choir’s warm presence and uplifting music brought a sense of peace and joy to all who attended.
It was especially touching to see many of our residents softly singing along to familiar tunes and showing their appreciation with heartfelt applause. 💜👏
A huge thank you to Sutton Trinity Church Choir for sharing their talents and bringing such a special atmosphere to our home. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon!

🌸 Alpaca Visit at Lavender Oaks! 🌸

Our residents at Lavender Oaks Care Home, Carshalton, had a truly special day yesterday with two very friendly visitors — Mungo and Glen, a pair of 11-year-old alpacas 🦙✨

These gentle, curious alpacas visited residents in their rooms and communal lounges, bringing smiles and laughter. Everyone enjoyed stroking their fluffy fur and learning some fun facts about these wonderful animals.

A huge thank you to Orion Tree Alpacas for making this magical visit possible. It was a heart-warming experience that lit up the home and created some lovely memories 💜

Our lovely residents at Lavender Oaks Care Home enjoyed their outing yesterday to Dobbies Garden Centre — a firm favourite on our list of day trip destinations! 💜
With the Christmas decorations beginning to sparkle, it’s definitely starting to feel a lot like Christmas! 🎅🌟
The afternoon was perfectly rounded off with a warm coffee and a good chat
We’re so grateful for these moments of joy and connection. 💫

A special shout-out also goes to Jay & Lea from in Carshalton, for your amazing support with fundraising. Thank you for hosting a donation pot and encouraging your patrons to give generously — your kindness helped us take a big step forward in supporting this important cause.

🎹✨ Musical Moments at Lavender Oaks ✨🎹
We were thrilled to welcome the incredibly talented Julia James from The Good Shepherd Church in Carshalton for a beautiful piano concert at Lavender Oaks Care Home. 🎶💜
Her music brought smiles, memories, and plenty of singing and toe tapping which our residents truly enjoyed.

Last week, a handful of our head chefs took a trip to The Bertinet Kitchen Cookery School for a bread-making class with the marvellous Richard Bertinet himself! 🥖

Richard led a wonderfully informative class and provided our chefs with a fantastic opportunity to develop their skills. As you can see, they produced some delectable loaves, tarts and rolls, which they are already looking forward to recreating for our residents!
