90% of people obsess about the results that they want rather than shifting their focus to change the daily behaviours that made them unhappy with their body in the first place.

The people that fall into this trap tend to be yo-yo dieters - obtaining short-term results via extreme measures and then reverting back to type once they inevitably fall off.

Stop wanting it all immediately and recognise that your habits put you there in the first place, it took time for you to develop them into your life and it will take time to change them for new ones.

It’s a slow process but it will lead to sustainable results over time. Rather than unsustainable results via extreme diets.

I’m rather impressed with how quickly has been able to change her nutritional habits so quickly.

The only change we’ve made here was to increase our protein intake while lowering starchy carbohydrates.

This is two months worth of doing that - the results speak for themselves.

We’ve only just begun, but this is going to be a significant transformation from .

Ozempic is a drug that helps people with type 2 diabetes and it works by suppressing the appetite. Of course it’s now becoming extremely popular for regular fat loss, with regular people and celebrities in America jumping on the bandwagon (it’s banned in Europe).

I’ll never understand why people choose to use pharmaceutical drugs for weight loss instead of making changes to their lifestyle. I do appreciate that it can be a slow process for some people, but rather that risking long-term damage to your health just to lose some weight?

Each to their own, I guess.

My philosophy on resistance training for my clients and I has pretty much stayed the same since I began in the fitness industry.

* The basics, done repeatedly.
* With top form.
* Tracking everything from weight lifted, sets/reps completed, rest times and tempo count.

Having no set routine and changing things every time you step inside the gym doesn’t allow you to track your progress; something you must do to ensure results.

If you were trying to lose weight, you’d begin to track your calories to observe your energy balance.

So why wouldn’t you stick to the same lifts for a set amount of time and track your numbers in those lifts to ensure you’re progressing in strength?

Don’t obsess about the changes to your body that you want. Instead, focus on the daily behaviours that you must incorporate into your lifestyle in order to bring about those changes.

If you can reframe your mind to think like this, then your body will simply come along for the ride.
