Our residents recently enjoyed a wonderful Multicultural Day, celebrating the many cultures of our amazing staff. We took an armchair adventure to Fiji, India, and Portugal, sampling delicious foods and drinks from each country, and every bite was a treat! 💃🌍

We were also treated to some beautiful traditional Indian dancing, and one of our lovely carers dressed in stunning traditional attire from her region, adding even more colour and joy to the day. 🥰

It was a truly special afternoon, filled with laughter, learning, and appreciation for the rich cultures that make our Cary Brook family so unique. 💚

A wholesome autumn outing this week 🌿

We visited Otter Garden Centres in Wincanton, where we enjoyed browsing the beautiful plants, flowers, gifts and, even spotted some early Christmas decorations 🎄💐

Of course, no trip would be complete without a stop at the café for a well deserved hot drink and a toasted tea cake ☕🍰

We might be miles from the seaside, but that didn’t stop us bringing the beach to our home! 🏖️

Residents enjoyed:
🌊 A mini “beach” with buckets and spades
👣 A paddling pool to dip their toes
🎣 A game of magnetic fishing
⛳ A round (or two!) of crazy golf
🍹 Refreshing mocktails & delicious ice cream

It was a fabulous afternoon filled with laughter, sunshine, and plenty of smiles, all thoroughly enjoyed by everyone! 💛

🌸💛 Our residents enjoyed a relaxing morning of flower arranging!

With a lovely selection of blooms, everyone got creative, arranging flowers into vases that were then placed around the home for all to admire. A truly beautiful and peaceful morning! 🌼✨

We had an amazing time at the Annual Sports Day, hosted by our friends at Field House - Somerset Care with Southlawns - Somerset Care , Rowden House - Somerset Care and Fletcher House - Somerset Care also joining in the fun! 🏃‍♀️🎯

We’re so proud to bring home the trophy this year! 🥇 Huge thanks to everyone who made the day so memorable - what a fantastic team effort from all homes! 💙

Our residents enjoyed a delightful afternoon of cake decorating, complete with a colourful selection of icing and plenty of fun sprinkles to choose from!🧁🍰

Once the decorating was done, the treats were enjoyed with a warming hot drink, the perfect way to end a creative and tasty afternoon. 🧁☕

They loved balancing balls and balloons while enjoying the bright, swirling colours, plenty of laughter, teamwork, and smiles all around! 😄👏

We've been making the most of the dry days by getting out and about in our lovely local community! 🏡🌞

From chatting with friendly faces to soaking up the beautiful scenery, it’s been a joy to connect with others and enjoy everything our surroundings have to offer. Whether it was a stroll through the park or a friendly wave from a passer by 🌳😊

There’s nothing quite like fresh air, good company, and being part of a caring community. 🤩🥰

Our wonderful Deputy Manager Michelle is turning 50 this week and we couldn’t wait to celebrate! 🎂🥳

We surprised her a little early with a beautiful homemade cake, some funky music, and a lounge full of banners and balloons. It made for a truly lovely afternoon, filled with smiles, laughter, and a great sense of joy! 🎈

Our residents really enjoyed the little party, and it was a special way to show Michelle just how much she means to us all. 💛

Happy 50th, Michelle! Here’s to many more wonderful memories! 🥂
