As we come to the end of February, we wanted to highlight Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) Awareness Month 💚
AMD can affect central vision, making everyday tasks like reading, driving and recognising faces more difficult. Symptoms can include blurred or distorted vision, difficulty seeing fine detail, or straight lines appearing wavy.
✨ Early detection is key. Many changes can be picked up before you even notice symptoms, which is why regular eye examinations are so important.
At Robert Frith Optometrists, we use advanced OCT technology to carry out detailed retinal scans. Our OCT machine allows us to look beneath the surface of the retina, helping us detect and monitor changes at a much earlier stage.
