This is about my 25th attempt to write this so Iโm just going to go with it now!
I have some news to share, some of you may be shocked, others, not so much. I recently applied for a job, a job that I have wanted to do for many years (I turned down a similar role 19 years ago!) Then just before Christmas a very good friend of mine, in the exact same role told me she would be retiring and it seemed perfect for me just to give it a go!
I hadnโt written an application form or had an interview since 2011, so to be honest, I thought I had little to no chance. Iโm very excited to share that I was lucky enough to be selected for interview and offered the job! Itโs very bittersweet at the moment as as much as Iโve always wanted to do this role and I am taking over the post of an absolute legend! I have built up a really successful business working on my own, full-time, self employed for the past 4 years and many of you, especially those who know me well will know how worried I am about writing this.
Rose & Wild is not going anywhere though, I will be very much still enjoying working in my cabin alongside my new job role, (which is part-time & term time) but unfortunately my working hours will be heavily reduced.
My plan is to work one day per week during term time. This will be a Monday OR a Friday each week and then, during school holidays I will be working 3 full days per every week of every school hol, with exception of bank hols and my own breaks.
I completely understand this may not work for everyone and you may need to go elsewhere, and for that Iโm really, really sorry ๐
I will be contacting anyone affected asap, if you do not hear from me please attend your appointment as normal and I will chat to you at your next appointment about going forward with times.
Due to the very limited slots I will have available I am only offering these to regular clients 4/6/8/10 weekly and anyone with an in date valid gift voucher. I wil also work around these times if they donโt suit if you have a gift voucher as obviously they are pre paid.
To manage my working week better I will also be working slightly shorter hours:
Monday 10 - 5.30
Friday 11 - 5
During school holidays:
Monday 10 - 6
Tuesday 9 - 5
Weds 10 - 6
(The days work during the holidays may change but will always be 3 per week)
Nealโs Yard products will always continue to be available, you can order yourself via my shop or message me and I can stil order/deliver for you.
Thereโs a lot of info here and to be honest Iโm still processing it and what it will look like in the long term but Rose & Wild will definitely live on so I hope I get to see as many of your lovely faces as possible still.
