Basic Life Support (BLS) training teaches essential skills like CPR, how to use a defibrillator, and the recovery position to respond to life-threatening emergencies.
North Downs Hospital has the pleasure of offering this service to our local GP practices in East Surrey. Working with the fantastic Cheryl Parkes from Angel Training, today we visited Caterham Valley Medical Practice, training some of their Clinical and non clinical staff.

On the 20th September, three of our wonderful Theatre Team at North Downs Hospital proudly completed the Half Marathon in aid of Cancer Research.

Theatre Manager, Lesley Godleman Scrub Nurse, Salomey Nutakorand and Veronica Walters, Recovery Nurse walked 13 miles throughout the night in just 5 hours, raising an incredible £3,563 to support life saving cancer research.

A huge congratulations to them for their dedication and achievement -and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated and cheered them on.
