Yesterday, North Downs Hospital played a very small part in supporting an extremly worthwhile charity and cause.

Justin Edinburgh was a professional footballer and manager.
Whilst training in the gym, Justin suffered a cardiac arrest and without access to a defibrillator on site he was rushed to hospital. Six days later, on June 8th 2019, he passed away.

The purpose of the foudation set up in his memory, is to prevent deaths from sudden cardiac arrest, by raising awareness of heart disease, promoting the use of defibrillators, and campaigning for improved access to life-saving equipment.

As a healthcare provider, we know the importance of having a defibrillator nearby, it can really be the difference of life and death.
