EMERGENCY ALERT TEST
The UK Emergency Alert Test will take place on Sunday 7 September 2025 at 3pm.

Survivors of domestic abuse, using a hidden or emergency phone, should be aware that a loud siren will sound on all phones, even on silent. To stay safe:

• switch off or use airplane mode on hidden devices
• share this message with anyone at risk
• safeguarding professionals should inform clients in advance

FLU AND COVID VACCINATIONS - BOOKING NOW!

We are now booking appointments for both flu and covid vaccinations for eligible patients. Please use the link in your text message invitation to book. Alternatively, you can phone the Practice on our dedicated flu and covid booking line, open between 3pm – 5pm.

We have the following clinics available to book at Townhill -

Saturday 11th October - Flu and covid
Sunday 19th October - Flu only

Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) for weight loss

Dear patients,
We are getting a lot of interest and phone calls regarding today’s headline that Mounjaro will be available from GP practices for patients.

While this is fantastic news for a lot of our patients, we are still waiting for guidance from Surrey Heartlands ICB to understand how this will be implemented and hence cannot yet prescribe tirzepatide for weight management. A service is due to be launched across Surrey Heartlands in the next couple of weeks.

Patients who meet the initial cohort 1 national criteria (individuals must have a BMI of 40 or above AND at least 4 of the 5 health conditions listed in the attached picture) will be contacted by the practice automatically when the service has started. Please do not book appointments for this reason alone.
