Really pleased as is my patient with how the verruca treatment is going. Patient is now going a full 6 weeks without any pain as the treatment we are using is responding really well. This is after 4 treatments. Verrucas can be hard to treat as they are a virus 🦠 but with the right treatment can respond well. 🦶🏻🦶🏻🦶🏻

Hello I am Gail Hunter a little bit about myself

I trained with the college of Foot health in Southport the sister company of the Institute of Chiropodists and Podiatrists. I regularly go back to Southport for my continued professional development training,
taught by consultant Podiatrists to ensure I have the most up to date knowledge and support.

I have worked in podiatry led clinics in Knaresborough, Yarm, Northallerton and Leyburn as well as gaining experience within an NHS setting

I have now taken over the Leyburn clinic in the heart of the dales. My friend and mentor Podiatrist and Ear Practitioner Andrew Waites who still works closely with me and supports me in my new venture is still very much part of the new Leyburn Health Clinic.

Hi everyone, I’m Carly Wilson. I will be joining the Team from the 5th July and taking bookings now. Having worked as a Podiatrist in the NHS for 19 years I have honed my skills in Specialist disciplines and in “high risk” patient clinics working with a multi disciplinary team of Health Professionals, including Orthopaedic, Endocrinology, and Specialist Infection control services.

My Specialisms include Maggot Therapy, developed whilst treating extremely complex Podiatric patients.

I have a Masters in Musculoskeletal functionality and complications of the lower limb, including diagnosis and treatment of multiple foot pathologies, including Morton’s Neuroma, Plantar Fasciitis and Tibialis Posterior dysfunction.

I also perform toe nail removal under Local Anaesthetic when all other attempts to rectify and correct the ingrown nails have proved unsuccessful.

This patient has had to come in for 2 sessions. There was a lot of work to do but we got there in the end. Patient was very pleased and will now book 6 weekly appointments so we can keep up maintenance 👣👣👣

I haven’t posted on here for a while but I’m hoping to start getting better at it!

In the last few months I have done invaluable CPD courses with The Institute of Chiropodists and Podiatrists - Southport CoFH Business and Clinical Academy and I am also purchasing my own clinic in the Yorkshire dales.
My new clinic will be called
Leyburn Health Clinic

We will be offering Foot 🦶🏻 and ear 👂🏼 care services as well as reflexology.. with the aim to be offering even more services in the future.

This lovely patient has Hyperkeratosis and struggles with an over production of hard skin so today we did Gehwol foot bath to start with. We soften all the skin and managed to get a lot of hard skin removed and cracks reduced right down. My patient will use a urea base cream at home and here again in 6 weeks. For this person it’s continual maintenance and doing his homework… he actually said he had sensation in his feet again after treatment and that’s a great to hear and the best compliment you can get 👣 👣 👣
