The Southwell Pink Ladies held their annual quiz on 21st March at the Minster School, with 36 teams taking part, making it a fully packed hall!🩷
👏The total raised was £3,182 – a great achievement!👏
⭐️Here's what the group had to say about the event (and some special thanks)...
The group were very fortunate to have Martin Berry back as quizmaster. He had prepared a terrific variety of questions for us, comprising five rounds plus two marathons, one of which was based on an ‘Only Connect’ round – ‘missing vowels’.
The bar did a brisk trade selling beer, wine and soft drinks. Thanks to Nick and Steve for organising and running it.
At the interval, Heads and Tails was played with the winner choosing a large bottle of Tia Maria as their prize and the runner-up a beautiful flower arrangement and voucher.
It was a tightly scoring quiz but at the end of the evening it was ‘Tequila Mockingbird’ that won. Well done to them!
A popular feature of this event is the raffle. The stall was resplendent with the traditional bright pink buckets and a whole array of wonderful prizes. Many people donated prizes but the vast majority were supplied by local businesses. We simply could not run such a great raffle without their generosity and it was a great success raising £890!
Thank you to all who helped on the night – the teams, the organisers, and all the local traders. Special thanks to Martin for his hard work and ongoing support of the Pink Ladies.✨
