This Friday is your chance to pause in the middle of the busy month of May.

If you live in Brighton we are lucky enough to have so much happening in the city this month from the festival to great escape to artist open houses but there’s also exam season for many families too. With so many distractions pulling us in all directions, how do we balance everything?
Building in time to pause and catch your breath really helps.
Join us next Friday 15th May in my next restorative yoga workshop.
Friendly and informal classes where everyone is welcome.

GCSE season can be a lot for teenagers.
Busy minds, pressure to perform, difficulty switching off.

Next week’s Restorative Yoga Workshop (Friday 13th March) is open to everyone, but teens navigating exam stress are especially welcome.

Restorative yoga helps the body move into deep rest using supported, gentle poses, calming breathwork and a long guided relaxation. It can be a powerful way to settle the nervous system and give busy minds a pause.

Parents are very welcome to come along with their teen, or come yourself if life feels a little full right now.

✨ A quiet evening to slow down
✨ Space to breathe and reset
✨ Deep rest for body and mind

A Sunday reminder to slow down 🌿

Hope you are reading this from bed. Here I am doing legs up the wall to calm my nervous system and prepare for the day ahead.

When it feels like it’s been a busy start to the year, choosing to slow down is quietly radical.

Rest isn’t something we earn once everything is done — it’s something the nervous system needs in order to function well. When we slow down, the body can soften, the mind can clear, and we begin to feel more like ourselves again.

This is exactly the intention behind my monthly restorative yoga workshops — a deeply supported, floor-based practice where there’s nothing to achieve and nowhere else to be.

✨ This month, teens are especially welcome too ✨
With exam pressure building and stress levels high for so many (adults and teenagers alike), this workshop offers practical tools for calming anxiety, supporting sleep, and navigating busy or demanding seasons of life.

Restorative yoga teaches skills we can return to again and again — before exams, after long days, during stressful moments, or simply when life feels full.

Whether you’re a regular, new to this practice, or supporting a teen through exam season, you’re very welcome.

Monthly Restorative Yoga Workshop – Friday 13th March 🌿

This is my usual monthly restorative yoga workshop — a deeply restful, floor-based practice designed to calm the nervous system, ease stress and support better sleep.

✨ This month, teens are very welcome too ✨

With GCSEs and exam pressure building, many teenagers are carrying a lot of quiet stress. This workshop offers a gentle, supportive space where adults and teens alike can slow down, rest deeply, and learn simple tools for calming anxiety and overwhelm.

We’ll use bolsters, blankets and props to fully support the body, with plenty of time to get comfortable. Expect gentle warm-ups, breathing practices, guided relaxation and long, nourishing restorative poses.

🤍 Supports stress, anxiety & fatigue
🤍 Calms the nervous system
🤍 Helpful for sleep, focus & exam nerves
🤍 Teaches relaxation skills you can use in everyday life

As always, this workshop is open to everyone, with adaptations offered throughout. Whether you’re a regular, new to restorative yoga, or supporting a teen through exam season, you’ll be very welcome.

This Friday | Restorative Yoga – Deep Rest, Real Reset 7-9m at Energy for life

If you’re craving proper rest and relief from stress, this class is a chance to delve deeper into relaxation.

We move slowly and intentionally, with extra time spent setting you up in each pose so you feel fully supported. I offer hands-on assists (always optional) to help you soften, settle, and get truly comfortable.

This is a floor-based practice, using blankets, bolsters and other props to support the body in a series of restorative poses. Each class includes:
🌿 gentle warm-ups
🌿 simple meditation and breath awareness
🌿 a sequence of deeply restful restorative poses

The intention is total relaxation.
When the body is fully supported and at ease, it can begin to heal and repair, and the nervous system is gently calmed.

This slow, mindful practice is especially supportive for:
• stress & anxiety
• poor sleep / insomnia
• fatigue & burnout
• mental overload — helping you feel clearer and more creative

✨ Everyone is welcome.
Every class is adapted to individual needs, with options and modifications offered throughout — no experience required.

👉 Spaces are limited — booking is essential. Link in bio
