Sunday 22nd February 2-5pm at The Loft. Join me for a specially designed afternoon for all stages of pregnancy.
A nourishing pause in your busy life to restore body, calm the nervous system and prepare mindfully for birth and early parenthood.

What’s Included:
🌼 Welcome ritual with herbal tea and intention setting — arrive, settle in, and find your breath.

🤝 Time to connect in a reflective circle: meet other mums-to-be, be heard and share gently around pregnancy, birth and motherhood.

🤰 A gentle yoga practice to warm and ease the body, release tension and explore breathwork and positions that feel supportive for pregnancy and labour.

🧘 A deep restorative yoga session, using props (blankets, bolsters, pillows) to fully relax — supported by visualisations and a guided rest to embody calm and connection with your baby.

🍰 Finishing with delicious homemade cake, tea and cosy connection, and space to chat, reflect or ask questions.

I believe in the power of rest and mindfulness as essential preparation for birth and the early weeks after baby arrives. When we slow down and truly rest, we support our nervous system and immune system — sending the message to the body that all is well. This not only feels nourishing but can help foster a calmer mind and positive mindset for pregnancy, birth and beyond.

As I write this the sun is finally out, we’ve made it through the ten darkest weeks of the year, and there are the first signs of spring all around us. This has really lifted my spirits — I hope you’re feeling that shift too.

This turning point in the season can feel subtle but powerful — a moment where the body and mind want to gently re-emerge, without rushing. Restorative yoga is especially supportive at this time of year, helping to replenish energy, steady the nervous system and create space for what’s next.

On Friday 13 February, I’m running my next 2-hour Restorative Yoga workshop — a deeply restful, warming practice designed to support this seasonal shift and help you feel more grounded, calm and nourished.

The next 5 week Mum and baby yoga course returns tomorrow !
6th Jan 10.45-12.00 at Energy for Life.

These courses are tallored to your needs from 6 weeks post birth until your baby is crawling out the door !
Each week will include:
🧡Time to chat and be heard
🧡Slow flowing sequences to rebuild strength and release held tension ~ 🧡🧡Pelvic and posture awareness
🧡Play and movement for the babies ~ 🧡Restorative pose and yoga nidra
Please bring a baby blanket or muslin and a small toys for your baby - Everything else is provided
Free parking is available at the studio on first come first served basis or metered parking near by. No. 18 bus drops off right near studio entrance
Space for buggies inside the studio up a few steps - I can help lift up.
There is also the option to join us on zoom if there is no way you can get to class.
Please be assured these are really friendly and informal classes and it is my job to put you at ease. You will be free to feed, comfort and change your baby whenever you need to. Although I have planned the course I will always be flexible and try to tailor the class to your needs on the day. You are also welcome to come without your baby if you have childcare.

This was Friday night in the cosy studio for my Restorative yoga workshop. At this time of the year these monthly get togethers really come into their own as we take shelter and restore.
We need a few basics in order to relax:
Warmth
Darkness
Quiet
Safety
All of which I take care to provide in these workshops but bear this in mind when you practice at home. The benefits are worth the effort . One student messaged to say the night of the workshop she had the best nights sleep in weeks. So happy to hear this 🙏

Join me for a short mum and baby yoga course starting next Tuesday for 3 weeks. As this runs through part of the summer holidays you are welcome to bring your older child with you too.

My mum and baby yoga courses are designed to support you mentally and physically through those early weeks and months after birth all the way up until your baby is on the move. Suitable from 6 weeks post vaginal birth and 8 weeks post c-section until your baby is fully on the move.

This Friday at 7-9pm Restorative Yoga Workshop at Energy for Life. Booking in link above.
I run these monthly and they are open to everyone, no experience necessary.
We’ll spend time gently warming up the body, exploring somatic movement and then a series of restorative yoga poses. These tend to be held between 5-20 minutes. The whole purpose is to give your body and mind the deep rest it needs to thrive. Listening in to your body and honouring what it needs. Shifting from doing to being. Shift from fight or flight to rest and digest.

Clair Edwards Yoga

I am a yoga teacher with a specialism in restorative, women's, pregnancy and postnatal yoga. I have over 200hrs training and have been teaching for the last 5 years. Over time I have realised how much people are looking forward to the savasana and nidra (yogic sleep) at the end of each class. I have come to understand that rest and restorative yoga is what a lot of people need, especially when we live a society that is constantly on and where we spend too much time being overstimulated by technology and remain in a state of fight or flight instead of rest and digest. I am interested in offering a yoga practice that allows us to re-connect to our breath and body and allows our brains and bodies the chance to recover and to embrace the art of going slow. Restorative yoga workshops are open to everyone, any age, gender, level of fitness. Perfect accompaniment to a more dynamic practise, to allow your body to repair and recover or for those who are looking to de-stress or heal. I look forward to welcoming you in my workshops.
