Thank you to Offington Park Care Home for the Christmas fun this week and getting hats on, snowball fights and target practice and we loved having a visit for some young family members too. Happy Christmas.🏆🎄☃️🫧

We missed these images from last month – so we thought we'd share photos of the fun Volleyball session from November.

We rotate our sports, so unlike other 'chair fitness' sessions our aren't getting the same thing every time. We try to get our continuity with the same Activity Leaders and the framework routine of what we do, but the themes and music provide different stimulation on each visit.

Thanks for the fun – pictured is just the warm-up, which included a great 'Noddy Holder' impression too.
All attendees wore Christmas hats, passed their 'Elf' certificates in being able to work for Santa (passing parcels and throwing presents into the sleigh), and then had an amazing snowball session. (thank you to the staff that took part too). 🏈🎱🏆🎄☃️🫧

🏥 There are currently around 50 people in hospital across Sussex unwell with Flu.

Flu is not 'just a cold' or the sniffles, it can be very serious.

The best way to keep yourself from becoming severely ill is by getting vaccinated, but it's also important to stay home if you have Flu like symptoms and practice good hand hygiene.

This is now the last week of festive sessions before the big day itself, Christmas Day, and our merry band of Rise activity leaders here in Sussex are still going.

We are inspired by Kylie's new music and the XMAS song actions – so look out for us all bringing this warm-up movement into our festive sessions in our Christmas attire.

But who gives the best 'Christmas'?
