In light of recent Trans news and attacks on our Trans community we have a number of free - donation based/fundraising events coming up at Silk from our practitioners. We are looking to donate any funds to a Trans charity. We are still finalising the details but know we are here. We love you and we stand with the Trans community as ever.

Trans people exist. Protect Trans kids. Fight like hell.

We give you ✨ Ly ✨ .nature dit

I’m Ly (they/them), a q***r and trans integrative psychotherapist. I hold my lived experience as an important part of my practice, offering a supportive and affirming space in Brighton & Hove for LGBTQIA+ folk, adolescents, and adults navigating their unique experiences.

My approach blends a range of therapeutic techniques, including working with the body, art, creativity, poetry, and connection with nature. I work alongside these practices to foster deeper self-awareness, integration, and renewal.

As humans, I believe our sense of self is influenced by many factors—our gender, sexuality, race, relationships, work, culture, and ancestry. For LGBTQIA+ individuals, these layers are often complex and deeply personal. By exploring them in a safe and affirming space, we can understand the patterns that shape our emotions, behaviors, and relationships, reclaiming our sense of self and community.

✨ Meet Gabe (they/them)! ✨ and

A q***r, neurodiverse, bilingual (English & French) yoga and sound meditation teacher. Gabe is joining Silk to offer:

🌀 Restorative Sound Meditation Yoga
🎭 Vibrations from Mars drag meditation show ()
🧘 Other inclusive yoga, meditation, and breathing classes

As a non-binary drag artist, Gabe’s transformative approach to mindfulness is rooted in self-discovery and acceptance. Their trauma-informed, disability-adaptive teaching makes meditation more accessible for neurodivergent folks and creates a space where all identities, bodies, and abilities are welcome—free of judgment or expectation.

Beyond the mat, Gabe has worked in health content editing (NHS), LGBTQIA+ advocacy, and inclusive language workshops to promote equitable healthcare access. ✨ BECKY! ✨

————-
————-

Grounded in Experience, Guided by Expertise:

Becky’s approach is deeply rooted in her personal journey. Navigating the complexities of chronic illness, CPTSD, neurodiversity, and her experience as a q***r individual, she creates a sanctuary of acceptance, free from judgment and designed for accessibility. She brings a unique blend of expertise as a yoga teacher, workshop facilitator, and mental health nurse, with a particular passion for supporting those living with chronic illness and fostering a compassionate relationship with self.

Her classes are a haven of nourishment, featuring gentle slow flow, restorative Yin, and deeply relaxing Yoga Nidra. Becky’s teaching philosophy centres on self-acceptance, encouraging students to embrace their bodies and minds with kindness. Committed to ongoing learning, she is currently deepening her understanding of somatic practices and yoga for recovery and healing.

Embracing Authenticity, Celebrating the Messy Middle:

Own lived experiences have instilled in her a deep understanding of the challenges and impact that chronic illness, trauma, and neurodiversity can have on our lives. This empathy fuels her commitment to creating supportive and inclusive environments. She approaches her work with a lighthearted spirit, embracing the ‘messy middle,’ imperfections, and the beauty of authenticity. Becky encourages others to do the same, fostering a space where vulnerability is celebrated and self-acceptance flourishes. Expect laughter, honest conversations, and a genuine sense of connection.

SHE BELIEVES:
* We are the expert of our own body
* We are enough exactly as we are
* Slowing down in a fast paced world
* Reconnecting with ourselves and others
* Extending love and compassion to ourselves
* The power of our thoughts and self talk
*  In a gentle approach

✨✨✨✨✨✨

Ocean Grove is a trans artist and founder of , a lifestyle brand focused on trans positivity, empowerment, and q***r wellbeing.

As a neurodivergent person, mainstream mindfulness techniques were a struggle and led him to find new creative practices to support their mental health. Combining guided journaling and reflective crafting has helped him to stay focused, present & comforted with consistency.

His journaling workshops will be a space to pour into our own cups, re-unite with our inner child-selves, and play with creativity.

G**s and Theys - please welcome Heather! .of.heather

✨✨✨✨✨

Heather is a q***r witch of colour, writer, and tarot reader who will be offering her tarot readings and creative workshops at Silk!

Her craft—how she practices for herself, and others—is defined by honouring authenticity, radical self-compassion, and connection to self, collective, and nature.

For Heather, the tarot is an incredible tool for self-knowledge and reclamation—as q***r people, we may feel we exist in the margins, or feel powerless against society—the tarot presents a radical way to reclaim ourselves and unearth our power, by learning to know ourselves.

She is dedicated to creating a warm, inclusive environment to welcome the insights that tarot provides, and guiding you through the process to lead you to your own internal wisdom—so you can make empowered decisions, and build the future you want.

In this way, Heather’s tarot readings are perfect for people interested in a gentle yet illuminating approach to self-awareness, healing, and growth.

Heather will also be offering Creative Witchcraft workshops at Silk! These will be a fun, accessible way to make and create magic. Think collaging, spellcasting, writing, and more… engaging in creative rituals in order to bring us closer to ourselves and the transformation we want to create.

The first one will be held on Saturday 22nd February, and will be held every month.

You can visit .of.heather on Instagram for more information and all the links needed to book in. ❤️
