Pregnancy can be such a precious time, but it never ceases to amaze me how we actually make it through 9 months. Apart from the huge physical changes that we go through whilst growing a tiny human inside us, pregnancy can have a huge impact on our mental health.

Depression and anxiety, tokophobia (an extreme fear of giving birth), sleep disruption and brain changes can make 38+ weeks feel like a really long time.

Why the change of name?

When I first started Chocolate, I honestly believed that ‘beauty’ was a treat. So, the name was fitting, an indulgence and something to do for a special occasion. But over the 15 years that I have been looking after my clients I have come to realise that self care is actually a necessity. Everyone should be having regular time out, time for them selves, away from life as they know it. It is my mission to persuade all women to put themselves at the top of their list of priorities, in order to be the best versions of themselves. Self-love is not selfish; you cannot truly love another until you know how to love yourself.
