I thought it important to write this to encourage men who have been diagnosed with Peyronie’s disease to pursue the treatment of shockwave therapy offered by Jo as it has been life-changing for me. My diagnosis was a shock and the progression of the disease was heartbreaking and caused mental health issues due to the feeling of not being a man anymore. The urologists talked about several procedures which I was not happy with as the outcome was risky due to complications from surgery. I started to research alternative treatments and came upon shockwave therapy and then to Jo.
Jo is incredibly knowledgeable and professional in her approach to treatment. I immediately felt at ease and Jo explained exactly what was happening and what to expect. The treatment has improved my disease and I now feel more confident and I have less of a bend, which is what I was looking for.
The stigma attached to this disease makes it hard for men to seek and use these alternative treatments which are non-invasive and safe. There is hardly any discomfort and the treatments are quick. I wholeheartedly recommend this treatment to any men who have been diagnosed with Peyronie’s and are looking to improve their symptoms.
