Tonight is the night of Halloween, which has its roots in the ancient, pre-Christian Celtic (Irish) festival of Samhain when the dead return to earth.

For those launching the little ones on trick or treats, please be mindful of the old and vulnerable and watch out for the posters that request to be left alone in peace.

Have an interesting evening and be nice to any dead people you meet on your travels as they will only be here for the one night.
