This picture captures the reason Homebeech Nursing Home created their own Library - a quiet area for residents to read and a way of escaping in a book π
What are your book recommendations? Our residents would love to hear!

Fantastic work by Matt, a resident at Bonhomie Oaklands Park (BOP), in Redhill.
At BOP, residents are encouraged to effect a βRecovery Pathwayβ, which takes into account the best course of evidence based care and treatment with a view to achieving the highest quality of life possible and putting their personal goals at the top of the agenda.

Thank you Estee, our wonderful member of staff at Glen Heathers for sharing this with us, about your brave and determined son.
This is Owen. He's living with Hypermobility amongst other disabilities. He struggles with his walking as his muscles hurt and they work 3-4 times harder than normal. His grandad was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's, and in his honour Owen walked 3km in 34 minutes coming in 3rd over the finish line! Well done Owen! You are inspiring. π

As Autumn is upon us, it's time to creep back indoors and enjoy the warmth! And what better way to enjoy the cosy indoors than with some fabulous new reads. Homebeech are thankful to have recently had some books donated to them. With the help of the lovely Margaret, they have also now extended their library. Thank you, Margaret for helping to organise this! If anyone has any books π that they would like to donate, we would be very grateful! So many residents have taken up reading since the library was opened. In the wise words of Donna, our Homeebeech Activities Coordinator, "books help you escape the real world, go on adventures, learn and keep the mind busy." π§‘
