Hello July ☀️

How has the first half of 2025 just flown by...?

And here is an little update to classes:

Classes will continue up to Friday 18th July. I will then be on summer break from Monday 21st July, and all classes will be paused for four weeks.
After which, a reduced summer schedule will run until September (TBC).

So for the next three weeks, come escape with air conditioning, and align your mind, body and spirit.

Tues 6.30 pm Vinyasa Flow
Wed 9.30 am Gentle Flow
Thurs 5.45 pm Vinyasa Flow
Fri 9.30 am Gentle Flow
Fri 11 am to 1 pm Privates

Fri 4th: Restorative Meditation
Tues 8th: Yin Stretch and Relax
Thurs 17th Restorative Meditation

Please note that classes are open to everyone aged 16 +
Every so often I get requests to teach yoga to children. Whilst I can and love teaching my own kids, my insurance does not cover me to teach other children. This is because I have not formally trained to do so. Please do look for a teacher with specific training in yoga for children 🙏

AKA Legs up the wall pose **

This is a gentle calming inversion that we practice in Restorative Meditation classes.
It can help to soothe the nervous system, lowering blood pressure and aid relaxation, along with providing support to our immune function.

Join me in guided rest to relax your mind and body in Restorative Meditation, on these dates for June/July.

Wed 9.30 am 25th June
Fri 9.30 am 4th July
Thurs 5.45 pm 17th July

ALSO, after our first Yin Stretch and Relax in May. I am happy to share that it is now to be a regular bi-monthly session. This provides an opportunity to slow down and explore static poses in longer holds. Which can help to release tension, and enhance passive and active flexibility.

The next class will be on:

Tues 6.30 pm 8th July

** Please note that transitioning into and out of Legs up the wall pose, does require a good level of mobility. Come join our movement classes which train and help to maintain functional mobility.

Baby Grasshopper Pose

A little twisty playful pose to welcome Spring 🌱

Although Baby Grasshopper can be considered a beginner's introduction to arm balances.
It requires strength and flexibility in the hip flexors, hamstrings, core, arms and shoulders. Whilst challenging you to find and maintain balance.

The Grasshopper is a symbol of good luck, stability, freedom and fertility.
It invites you to be creative, to have courage in approaching challenges with a sense of playful curiosity.

Difficult Times

In difficult times, you move forward in small steps
Do what you have to do, but little by little
Don’t think about the future, or what may happen tomorrow
Wash the dishes
Remove the dust
Write a letter.
Make a soup
You see?
You are advancing step by step
Take a step and stop
Rest a little
Praise yourself
Take another step
Then another
You won’t notice, but your steps will grow more and more
And the time will come when you can think about the future without crying
