This evening we had a wonderful Burns Night celebration! 🥃🔥

We enjoyed a traditional Burns Night supper, a wee dram of whisky, and a fantastic Address to the Haggis delivered by Derek 👏
The evening was topped off with a rather difficult quiz that brought plenty of laughs.

Thank you to Jordan our wonderful chef who helped make it such a memorable night - a true celebration of Scottish tradition! 💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We headed out to Bradbeers Department Store in Romsey today despite the rainy weather ☔️🌧️.

After a look around, we stopped at the café for coffee and salted caramel cake, which went down very well 🎂🧁.

A relaxed afternoon out and a nice change of scenery for everyone ☕🍰.

We have had Debutots to visit us a couple of times with great success, and we’re delighted to share that we will now be enjoying these wonderful sessions every other week ✨

Our lounge has been filled with smiles, laughter and magical moments as our residents and little visitors come together to sing, play, cuddle and chase bubbles 🫧

These intergenerational sessions have been so special, bringing happiness to everyone involved. Thank you Debutots for bringing so much joy to our home 🥰

Happy New Year from us all at Brendoncare Knightwood 🎆🍾

We celebrated last night with a delicious New Year’s Eve supper of party food and wine.

Then we did a quiz which looked back on the year, before completing the evening with a rendition of Auld Lang Syne 🎶🫱🏼‍🫲🏽.

Brendoncare Knightwood Christmas Party🎅🏼🎄

Our residents enjoyed a lovely Christmas party filled with mulled wine, festive treats, and plenty of smiles. Thank you to the kitchen staff who provided an amazing selection of treats! 🍷🥧🍰

The christmassy evening also featured a fun Christmas quiz and a little friendly competition! A fun way to celebrate Christmas Eve together ❤️☃️

Santa and his little helpers made a very special visit this morning! 🎅✨

Derrick took on the role of Santa alongside our wonderful carers, spreading Christmas cheer as they visited every resident’s room to deliver presents and smiles. Meanwhile, our fantastic catering team have been busy preparing a delicious Christmas lunch for everyone to enjoy. 🍴🍗

A lovely Christmas surprise as Anne popped in to wish us all a Happy Christmas 🎄✨ Even better – she and Claire were twinning in matching outfits! 👯‍♀️💖 Christmas spirit at its finest 🎁🎅

We had a special visit yesterday afternoon from our carer Claire and her horse, complete with some festive Christmas decorations. She even managed to visit some of the residents in their rooms!🎄🐴

Today St Francis Church kindly visited us for our annual Carol Service. Several of our residents gave readings and everyone joined in wih the traditional carols. We rounded off the afternoon with festive refreshments. It was a joyous celebration of Christmas 🎄

We were delighted to welcome the Aladdin pantomime duo, who brought festive cheer with some wonderful carols 🎭🎶.

This was followed by a fun themed lunch and the chance to enjoy our lamp-shaped cookies that we decorated the day before 🧞‍♂️🍪.

A fun day filled with music, laughter, and a little bit of magic! ✨
