With multiple communal areas, Brendoncare Knightwood is a happy and comfortable home with kind and compassionate staff dedicated improving the lives and well-being of people in later life.

Today we enjoyed using our artistic talents to create a unique beach scene collage, complete with beach huts, shells, kites, and with the Red Arrows flying overhead. A relaxing and fun afternoon 🖌🎨

Today we took a trip to Carlos Ices & Tea Rooms. We enjoyed some refreshing ice cream sundaes and then visited the animals in the garden, enjoying the sunny weather ☀️🕶️

Today our residents got a lovely treat delivered to their rooms, some refreshing fruit punch plus some strawberries and cream to eat while watching the tennis 🎾.

For National Bingo Day, we of course had to have a game of Bingo! Practising different bingo calls was lots of laughs. Claire served up some lovely fruit punch and fruit platters to get everyone prepared.

Today we baked cookies! Residents decided on half chocolate chip and half plain and they were all lovely either way.

Happy National Pink Day!
Pink bunting was made and put up, Pink clothes and wigs were worn, Pink cupcakes were eaten. 💗🌸🌺🎀

Today we had a wonderful visit from Lisa The Creature Teachers . We got to hold and find out lots of interesting facts about a variety of different animals. This included an Owl, Ferret, Snake, Rabbit and a bearded Dragon. A brilliant afternoon!

What a fun day out! Today we went on our first ever Boat Trip ⛴️. We were also joined by Jeanette from Brendoncare Meadway, and we took a trip down to Hythe Marina.

After enjoying a picnic lunch overlooking the Marina, we took a 2 hour boat ride all round Southampton Water. A huge thank you to Alison MacGregor Solent Dolphin for having us. We will definitely be back again!

Today was fresh fruit and veg day! Here at Knightwood to celebrate we made our own smoothies. We were all beginners at this but was lots of fun testing out different flavours. Everyone took turns at choosing what went in their smoothie and then we all tasted each one 😋 definitely will be making these again especially with the warmer weather approaching ☀️

Happy National Salad Week! 🥗 To celebrate, our brilliant Kitchen team set up a salad bar for our residents to personalise their own plates. A lovely change to supper time.
