It’s peak running season at the moment, and a lot of people are starting to realise just how much pressure marathon training can put on the body, especially the knees.
New research found that nearly half of people who exercise regularly are using painkillers just to keep going, with knees and lower backs coming out as some of the most common problem areas.
Pain during training isn’t always something to just push through. Tight joints, poor movement patterns, and strain building up over weeks of training can all start catching up with runners as mileage increases.
Chiropractic care can help support runners by improving joint mobility, reducing tension and helping the body move more efficiently under load, especially during long training blocks.
