Introducing Dr Gabriella De Salvo, Consultant Ophthalmologist.

With over 20 years experience, Dr De Salvo specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of medical retina conditions such as:

👀 Age-related macular degeneration (AMD)
👀 Retinal vein occlusion
👀 Diabetic retinopathy
👀 Central serous chorioretinopathy

Based on the work she has published, she ranks in the top 2% of medical retinal specialists in the world.

Last week we were delighted to host a Staff Spinal Education Day at Wessex Hospital and it was a fantastic success.

The day featured a series of engaging and informative sessions delivered by expert speakers.

🟩 Mr Christopher Dare, Spinal Consultant, explored spinal anatomy, conditions and surgical treatments.

🟩 Dr Jane Hazelgrove, Pain Consultant, discussed the psycho‑social influences of pain.

🟩 Theresa Carey, Spinal Lead Nurse, and Brooke Rumsey, In‑patient Lead Physiotherapist, shared insights into the Nuffield Health spinal surgery framework.

🟩 Powerful interview with a former patient, who shared her journey and experience of care with us.

Feedback from staff has been overwhelmingly positive. Many particularly valued the opportunity to meet our surgical representatives and learn more about the products, implants and devices used in spinal surgery.
