How about shoulders circling instead. 💪

We hold so much tension in our shoulders.

They creep up throughout the day, so subtlety that we are not always aware of what is happening..

- Why not pause and check in with your shoulders?

- Squeeze in some tension and find some ease

- Take some gentle rolls. start small, think intimate self massage

Let's talk boundaries 🧱

Your body has boundaries. Not walls — but edges.

We think of boundaries as keeping things separate, but actually a boundary regulates identity and our boundaries regulate our relationships.

Using touch we can find our physical edges and boundaries.

When you stroke, pat, or gently squeeze the body, you gently remind your nervous system: this is where I begin.

Touch quiets the mind and brings you home to the space you already take up.

Touch brings us out of thought and back into presence.

If your mind feels busy today, try touch instead of thought.

A hand on the body.
A gentle squeeze.
A slow stroke.

Touch helps you settle into the space you take up.
This is how we come back to the body.

You are allowed to be here — fully.

Forget five golden rings. 💍💍💍💍💍

Think about those five little toes on each foot. 🦶

Our feet carry us through every single day and quite often they are forgotten or neglected.

Why not take time today to indulge yourself in a little self massage of your feet. 🙌

Notice the condition of the skin and the nails. Notice how it feels as you touch your feet.

Why not try and explore using different ways to touch - maybe pinching, squeezing, twisting or simply stroking a single finger over a toe.. Or maybe needing into the arch with the knuckles? 

Giving yourself permission to explore your body in a safe way and enjoy the simple pleasure of self massage. 🤗

Knowing that balance starts from the feet upwards with self massage we can become more aware of sensation at the feet. 

Taking attention to the feet before and during yoga postures, gives us a full awareness of the boundary line between the sole of our foot and the floor.

I will talk more about boundaries tomorrow.

The french hens - 🐓🐓🐓

How about a short practice, that shifts energy in three ways

- Breath 

- Movement 

- Sound 

Inspired by this somatic punch sequence is powerful.

Flat hands push down and HA the breath out 

O shaped mouth, make fists and release breath forcefully as you punch out, across and up.

And repeat - for up to 3 minutes

Then take a pause, see how you feel.

I like to start my day with this sequence, visualising that I am removing anything that's blocking me that day - it could be a mental, physical or emotional barrier.

Then at the end of the day to push away any stuck energy so I can be fully present and whole for myself and my family after work.

Why not give it a try.

Nature isn't some external thing - we are nature. 🌿

We are electrical magnetic beings and need to disconnect from our matrix lives and plug in every day. ⚡🧲

The first day of Christmas 🌲

Who wants a partridge in a pear tree? Not me! 🤣

Instead, let's simply breathe.

In yoga we're often told to control or change the breath. Just for today, why not pause and simply observe your natural breath - just for a minute or two.

Notice your breath, your body. How you expand and contract , rise and fall, with each breath.

Trusting your body knows how and when to breathe.

Feet on the earth, back long and shoulders soft. Grounding yourself into being.

Remember that the present moment is a pre-sent moment - a gift that an earlier version of you has created.

Take time today to pause, breathe and be. Really savour the moment of what it feels like to be you without the noise.

🌞 This is me. Last week. Shining and living my best life - hosting a wonderful retreat in Marrakech with Adventure Yogi.

Holding space for the 11 remarkable souls who joined me. 🤗

For those who don't know me, I'm Natasha - a Yoga teacher, Massage Therapist and Reiki practitioner based in the High Peak in Derbyshire. I also work with older adults to build strength and balance as part of a falls prevention initiative.

I'd like to talk about Yoga. Yoga has literally changed my life. 

Yoga goes way beyond movement. For me, Yoga is about unifying the mind, body and spirit. It's about understanding and cultivating a loving relationship with all parts of the self. It's about understanding and working with our unique energy patterns to flow through life with grace. 

⭐ I offer face to face group Yoga classes at Riverside Wellbeing and Chinley Community centre, which are Asana based.

In class we move energy through Asana to 

- discharge 

- recharge 

- to play with polarity and find balance 

- invite in masculine or feminine energy for balance

- play and explore using different energy textures 

⭐ I also provide bespoke 1:1 sessions online and in person. Working 1:1, we move energy through breath, movement and sound. Each session is and tailored to YOU and your unique needs. 🕉️

As a child, I was often described as agile — quick to move, quick to adapt.

That same agility now flows through my work as a yoga and holistic therapist.

Over time, my practice has evolved to meet the needs of those navigating anxiety, stress, and overwhelm.

Through a blend of breath, movement, Reiki, and massage, I help clients find stillness, release tension, and reconnect with balance — both body and mind.
