INDEPENDENCE is a word that has such a strong meaning and value to us as humans, it’s one of the things we fear losing especially when taking the decision to move into care.

The fear is that all independence is taken away, you no longer make choices or decisions in how you live.

This is far from the case at Eleighwater House Retirement Home. Staying independent is so good for the body and the mind, as we age we do find that somethings are not so easy to achieve without the help of others, this should not take away your independence to make choices in how you live your life.

Promoting independence is at the heart of the home and in everyday life no matter how small the achievement might be💙

We had some very special visitors at Eleighwater yesterday 🐍

Our residents were all so brave and absolutely loved meeting the reptiles. It was such a lovely experience for everyone.
