Safety is paramount to us here at Bishops funeral services In preparation of our new ceremony venue opening in Yeovil, The Butterfly Rooms, some of our team have been achieving their first aid certification today. With congregations up to 180 mourners within our building, it’s important that our staff are trained in case of any initial first aid requirements.

Here at Bishops Funeral Services we are continually assessing products we provide in order to keep the costings of funerals down for everybody.
We have noticed a gradual increase in the costings of death and funeral announcements in newspapers.
As of today we will be offering FREE announcements of deaths and funeral details on our social media pages and will be sharing throughout the county to notify friends of the families loved one of their passing and the funeral details should they wish to attend to say farewell.
These details will only be posted with the next of kin’s signed authorisation to publish.

Added to our fleet today in order to advance our into care response teams capabilities during adverse weather conditions such as snow or floods and also if people pass away in rural places, hard to reach by normal vehicle.
Hard rear cab on order and hopefully won’t be long so this stunning vehicle can become operation ready.
No matter where, no matter when, no matter the conditions………….. we will be there when you need us! Our promise!

This evening, Tracey, our Funeral Director went to work in her second job as she is also an elf who helps Father Christmas in Lapland. This evening Father Christmas and his trusty elf visited the children at Martock Primary School PTA Christmas party to make sure they have been good. Handing out reindeer food to the children to leave out on Christmas Eve for their very hungry reindeer.
Stuart was nowhere to be seen 😮

Last night the team here at Bishops Funeral Services attended the Numeric Charity Ball held at Chard Guild Hall.
A lovely evening was had by all and was so nice to meet the people of chard and raise money for such worthy charities.
Stuart is exceptionally please that he won a personalised Henry hoover in the silent auction.

One of the sayings I hear on a daily basis in regards to grief at work is “time is a healer”, no it is not, in time we learn how to manage our grief, we learn how to live with it on a daily basis, we learn, in time how to live a different way of life without our loved one present. We will never fully “heal” from losing the unbreakable bond of love in this world as we know it.
We are always here for you, day and night, myself and my team dedicate themselves to you at the time as a supporting, guiding hand through the darkness.
