Thank you as always to Jenny our wonderful singer who came to celebrate St Patrick's with us this week! 🎤🍀

She sung a few Irish songs mixed in with some of our usual classics, everyone was so full of energy on this visit and we had lots of people up on their feet dancing and singing along to the music! 💃🕺

In the afternoon of St Patrick's Day 🍀🇮🇪 we celebrated with some movement instructed by the lovely G-fitness! 💪 There were plenty of smiles and laughter shared over the course of time that G-fitness was there and heres to many more good times to come! 😄✨️

Residents at Victory Care Home recently enjoyed getting hands-on with some fun and fascinating experiments 👩‍🔬

Using a tray of milk 🥛, drops of food colouring, and a touch of washing-up liquid applied with brushes 🖌, they watched as the colours seemed to magically move and swirl on their own. The liquid repelled, creating beautiful, ever-changing patterns right before their eyes 🤗

Everyone loved watching the colours spread and shift, with many surprised that it kept moving without even being touched! ✨

A creative and engaging activity that sparked plenty of curiosity and smiles.

The ladies celebrated Mother’s Day with one of their all-time favourite activities… bingo! 💞

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers out there from Victory Care Home 💐💛

This year we celebrated by reminiscing and chatting about our families and experiences of motherhood, with residents sharing many lovely stories about their own mums growing up 😊✨

Together we created a family tree activity 🌳, writing down each resident’s immediate family, including parents, siblings, children, and grandchildren (and for some, even great-grandchildren). It was so special learning about everyone’s different stories and upbringings, and it reminded us how precious these memories are. A few residents even shared that being a mother was one of their greatest achievements in life 💖

Afterwards we decorated our family trees with colourful buttons and stickers, then enjoyed a lovely cup of tea and some gorgeous custom cakes made by our chef ☕🎂👩‍🍳

📚 World Book Day 📚

To celebrate World Book Day this year, we made our own bookmarks on Friday 🔖✨ Many of the residents got hands-on and enjoyed choosing from lots of fun designs and stickers, it was lovely to see everyone helping each other pick their favourites 😊

We had so many creative ideas, from floral designs 🌸 to favourite foods 🍫 and favourite colours 🎨, with some residents adding their names too. A few even made extra bookmarks for family members, grandchildren, and friends 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦💞 There were smiles all round, and we hope their custom bookmarks get plenty of use this year.
