Our morning started celebrating Robert Burns by listening to his poetry and songs and learning about his life on his 267th birthday!

However we all got so invested in learning about his history we decided to find out about our own history too!

Those who wanted to gave their surnames or maiden names and we were able to find out lots of information like the first written record of our surnames (some dating back to the 1200s)

We even managed to find some people's Clan tartans and Crests of arms!

This weekend we tested our senses with a game of what's in the box!
The activitys team placed random items from around the home in a covered box and everyone's job was to work out what the item was using only their hand! No peeking!
